The Borderworlds are a lawless hive of scum and villainy, a section of space abandoned by the Earth Government long ago and left to fend for themselves. This is the story of a young girl trapped in that hellish place, longing for a better life. She dreams of exploring the stars, but she knows she never will. At least until a chance encounter on a desert planet sets her on a path that might just lead her to finally seeing that dream realized and to a life and a home she can call her own.
(Okay, so a bit of background here. This is a short story born from a sci-fi series I've been working on for the last couple of years. Typically one would actually bother with finishing at least part of the main series before posting side stories, but well here we are. In essence, this is an origin story for the female lead and provides a bit of background on that particular character.)

However, the Order was betrayed by one of their own, and it seems that the same traitor is back to finish the job!

In the year 2750, a doctor known as Dr. Wendy Marsden was the head researcher in the GUARDIAN-II Project. And the ORIOCHIN-I Project which failed. In the year 2744, the Guardians were born. They overwent a lot of obstacles and training. Especially for Thomas-195. He was the strongest among them all. At the age 16, the Guardians went through augmentations and only 100 of 300 survived the alterations. Thomas-195 was one of the survivors and was given Gungnir armor. They trained at Reach where Dr. Marsden said that they were ready for their first mission. In the current day, March 6, 2772, Thomas-195 was assigned to the WLUO Scorpio to do missions for them. What’ll happen after his first mission on the WLUO Scorpio?

As of the year 3000, when the CHAMPION-II Project was created, it was more of a success. Thirty-five of sixty survived and actually were in control of themselves. Unlike Hiromi-00. One of the Champions, Thomas-014, was the last one to wake up. He is also the fastest learning soldier out of the thirty-five of them. He woke up 2 months after everyone which worried the doctors. Their first mission was a week away and Thomas-014 survived. After becoming a Master Chief Petty Officer, Thomas-014 was put to sleep on the UNSC Pillar of Spring. What’ll happen when the ship is shot in half?
