Depuis 90 ans déjà , une trêve sans précédent, liée à l'arrivée de la ral humaine et de la création de la zone neutre de Masdra'Kul, a amené un espoir de Paix sur Orionis. Mais cet espoir ne tient qu'à un fil de plus en plus mince. Deux étoiles approchent de la supernova, le généralissime de Maka'an complote pour déclencher la 201e guerre et les fantômes du passé viennent hanter le Présent. Il y a beaucoup à faire et peu de temps pour le réaliser.
