Random question, but am I the only one who looks at Paolo Uccello's painting St George & The Dragon and thinks 'hey, why is he killing her pet?' The chain between her and the dragon goes from her wrist to the dragon's neck after all...

Shinda YÅ Ni Suru Ni Wa (To Be Dead)
Rating:I think the book is very good so far. The plot is interesting and so far the characters seem well developed. The only thing I would recommend is the to go through and reread all of it for flow as some parts seem a little choppy, and also, your translations were very helpful so you might want to also make sure that some of your important translations all have the english versions. Side note for formatting: For dialogues, if you hold shift when hitting enter, the gap between lines will be less noticable and cause less of (if any) pause in your mind when reading. Good luck finishing the book, and I look forward to seeing where it goes from here.Reviewed on: January 17, 2015

Rating:Hey, this piece isn't just amazing, it's real, I hope you know that. As an artist and someone who suffers from depression, your writing spoke to me in a way I haven't experienced in a long time, so thank you for creating it. And I hope that time has helped you with whatever loss or pain it was that inspired you to write this, at least as much as it can.

This is Why I'm Afraid - As It's Written
Hey again,
First: this is a really interesting idea and I look forward to seeing your thought process through the rest of this project.Second (My thoughts on the title and the concept): I can't speak to the romance genre very well because I don't read or write a lot of solely romance fiction and thus don't have a lot of experience in it, however I will say that right off the bat, the main characters sound like interesting people so I look forward to seeing how you develop them. As far as the title goes, I like it because it makes sense with the character, but also because it sounds like maybe the POV character has been hurt by a previous relationship (not necessarily a romantic one) and now struggles with the idea of starting a new one, which in my mind brings out this whole other aspect to the character in which even if they managed to get past everything else, there's this hesitation of "what if I get hurt again" underlying it all. I don't know if this was the intent, but that's what second opinions are for, isn't it?
Good luck!

Thanks for the comment! and yeah, I'm with you, the last paragraph is awfully long, but the rest of it won't be that way (There'll be actual dialogue! Yay!) so hopefully it won't be as bad in that regard.
Let me know what you think about the rest of it, if you decide to keep reading!
And apologies for the slow updates, bear with me, I do have more, I've just been a bit busy.
Thanks again!

Glad to see you're writing again, and it's a very interesting idea; I'm curious to see what happens with it. (Unless it's a one-shot? In which case, I'm a bit curious what inspired it...)

To be honest, any relation between Rem's name and the word remember was completely on accident, however it does work well with the plan for the story. Also, I'm glad to see you're picking up on her name, her names are meant to be important...

This is amazing so far, better than most of the published books I've read.
Also in the first chapter, I'm sure it's not supposed to make people laugh when he starts falling asleep in class, but it made me laugh because I've been there. I find sitting on the edge of the seat so that you start to fall off helps keeps you from sleeping in class.Commented on: March 25, 2015

Sure, I'd love to help out. I'm a bit busy right now, but I'll have time to read it by the end of the week.
