It was like she'd fallen in love
with the wind,
The way she'd flit into your life.
She'd stay just long enough
to turn your world upside down,
and then she'd be gone.
You could reach out still,
and she'd still be there,
but there was a distance,
a transience then,
and she'd rarely reach out herself,  
like she didn't need people
the way we need people,
or the way people needed her...
