Commenting on chapters
I was thinking that there should be, under every chapter, a comment box where the reader can write his/her thoughts on the story so far instead of having to go back to where the story's 'home page' is.

I like this idea as well. It would make it easier to comment and I think lead to more comments on stories.

I like the idea as well. And maybe a different place to put all the comments and reviews that are more easily seen by the author and/or readers.

Yes. I like this idea. If the box is right there (And have the chapter button under it, not above it) then people would feel more inclined to write comments on every chapter. I know I would and I would greatly appreciate this feature.

Hello everyone. Would you prefer the comments to be tied to specific chapters or to the entire book when posting within a chapter?

I would prefer to have a comment section tied to the specific chapters. I do like the idea of the comments on the Book's profile page, but if I had to chose, I would say comments tied to the individual chapters. A big reason for this is for editing reasons. I doubt any of us are bonafied authors with publishers and actual editors. As such, mistakes are going to slip through, and it's nice to have an area where a reader can comment on that specific chapter and say, "You did.....". Just my opinion though.

I think we should keep with the book comments on the book profile but also add chapter-by-chapter comment options. I know a lot of people will read a story according to reviews\comments, so the comments displayed on the profile certainly help attract readers, but it's difficult to accurately critique a story with only one comment option.

Chapter commenting has been added. You are now able to add comments while reading a story by clicking the 'Chapter Comment' button. All chapter comments are displayed in a tab next to the original book comments.

i agree with this idea when i click a story it says i cant comment until its completed i think you should be able to review or comment any time

Hi Jessica, commenting on a story or chapter should be available even when the book is in progress. Only reviewing is disabled whenever the book is set as 'In Progress'.
