How to get attention ?
by Ricky Irawan | Oct 19th 2013, 10:47
Your best bet is to do a review trade with someone. Most of the people who visit this site are wannabe writers just like you, who also want their work review. The comments exchange benefit both sides and the basic rule of the world says: you get what you give.

I agree with the previous commenter. Just go and find random stories and review them. I personally try to return all reviews or comments give to me even if the stories to be reviewed aren't my cup of tea. It's just a great way to meet other writers and gain a sense of community. Also post on forums such as this one like you already have! Good luck.

not adding anything new by agreeing, but it's either that or be a much better author than me '>.>

how you make your story interesting when you're not a native speaker? That's my problem number one right now. I can write a little poem, but, i'm not sure to write a full story : (

You simply do your best and write. If you're not a native speaker, you have to drag the attention away from your shortcomings (spelling, grammar) and capture it with a refreshing plot or characters. Besides, practice makes perfect. The more you write, the better you get. With time it gets easier.

Hi, I'd be willing to read/review your story if you would read mine - "Tales of The Apocalypse" which is a work in progress, 4 chapters posted so far. Let me know if that would work for you.

I feel your pain. It is a little discouraging when you don't see the comments/reviews you would like to. It's not as if we would give up our passion for writing, but sometimes it is nice to see that someone appreciates what we do.
