Looking for stories to read! Please!

Hi! So, I haven't been able to read a lot of stories on this site yet (due to a very tight schedule!) but I would really love to get started! However, I can be very picky with what I read, and that DOES NOT mean that I don't like a story or whatever. It's just that if it's not appealing to me, I don't have any motivation to read it, and would rather read other stuff =(. Yes, I know that you should try out new stuff every now and then, and I don't really have a better excuse why. But please don't judge me. I recently fell in love with the Fantasy genre and would love to read Fantasy work. I am a huge fan of Adventure, Romance, Action, Magic and all that good stuff. However... I'm not really a fan of Vampires, Dragons, Wolves, Demons, Prophecies and Random Evil-Doers who want to dominate the world for no apparent reason, etc. If anyone has a story, or is planning to write a story, that you think I would enjoy. Please, don't hesitate to let me know!

  • Hello, welcome to SparkaTale. So, let's advertise something to you. 1. Mystic Mirror by Malgorzata Wyrwas (that is me) - fantasy/adventure book with a bit of romance about a girl from modern world shoved into the world of the Callesmere Empire. She'll try to get home, but her paths will cross with Aedain who is set on liberating his race from the human opression. There are plenty of chapters and the book is about 80% complete so you may check it out. 2. Bordelia's Anguish by Suzi Stevens (fantasy) - a mythological prelude to Suzi's main work, it's short (4 chapters) and complete. In my opinion definitely worth reading. 3. Carriers by A. Nonymous - Science fiction story in progress about a group of teenagers who get infected by a newly developed virus and become carriers. The story is packed with action and is one of my favorites on this site.

  • I feel flattered. I'd recommend Mystic Mirror to you, and not just to return the favor, but because it's one of the few fantasy stories I actually really truly like. I'm not a big fantasy buff, so that's saying something. I'd also recommend Cast Out by D.M Gergen. I'm not sure if it's been updated since I last read it, but the characters are colorful and the plot sounds promising. Also, welcome to SparkATale.

  • Evanendum. It begins as a tale of two otherworlders, but as it goes on, the magic and action pick up.

  • May I present my humble efforts at romance? 'In the Corner of Your Eye' is a supernatural romance and 'All of Him' is a science fiction-ish fantasy romance. To help you make an informed choice, here are the summaries: ITCOYE: A good hunter stalks, waits, plans, even teases by cornering and releasing. He did all those things. But then he ruined it all with something a good hunter should never, ever do. He fell for the prey. And the prey... wasn’t what he thought. Who was the hunter now? AOH: I've just been seen with a naked Zomb by the fastest social updater that I know. That should put me in the trending crowd. *Cheer* The problem? I never wanted to own this Zomb. His name is—was—Zech. We’d promised to be friends. But then I went and Zombed him. So now I own him. All of him. Literally. And I hate everything about this.
