Even on such a relatively small site as SparkATale, there are countless undiscovered writers. This is for them, and the people who would help them. We are a community that encourages and aids other writers, whether it be through simple chats, reviews, or recommendations. We help in any way we can, and are a kind and welcoming group. The Coffee Shop

Here we can chat, preferably about reading or writing, but really about whatever the conversation leads us to, as long as it is appropriate for some of the younger users on here (i.e, no cussing, adult subjects, etc.). Be kind to others, need I say. Just enter the coffee shop, introduce yourself, and join the conversation. Have fun!

  • Hey! My club is just like this one only I like the way yours was done better... more professional than mine, which I created in like... two seconds lol. Anyway, if you're looking for members I'll gladly join this one. I like expanding my circle of friends and anyway we share a common goal in both of our clubs so we can work together. ^^

  • Yes, definitely! I actually used yours as a bit of a model, just added some things I'd seen and liked from other websites and my own ideas to this. I'm glad you like it, and I'd love to work together! Thanks for joining! :)

  • Work... getting in the way of life. Lol. Nah I've just been going through a lazy/depressing spell and I'm trying to get out of it. I think it's the cold weather. I'm so much happier in summer. :/

  • I swear to god my dad just tried to get me drunk. He gave me this pina colada and I was like cools bro and it turns out that he made it super strong and I drank like three glasses of it and now I'm actually feeling dizzy (I'm a small girl that doesn't drink very often so my tolerance isn't high). What the heck dad... what the heck...

Sorry if I talk about alcohol here. XD I just had to share this. That man is insane. I'm 21 now so I think my dad is just having too much fun with the whole alcohol thing.

  • Haha. Yes, it certainly seems harder to get out of bed in the winter, doesn't it?

  • Ugh tell me about it. The cold weather slows me down and I think the lack of sunlight just makes me sad in general. I love the summer so much more!

  • Haha; mixed feelings here. I do love the cold...

    Reply

  • I don't handle the cold very well lol. I'm a skinny girl and I don't have a lot of meat on my bones so I get cold very easily and it just makes me feel so miserable. And then I have to wear like ten layers of clothing which also makes me miserable because I can't move and it makes me sleepy therefore I am unproductive in the winter.

  • Haha! But oh, don't you love burrowing into ten layers of blankets? The best. Feeling. Ever...

    Nicole Raine | November 25, 2014

  • Oh yes... I practically spent my entire day today snuggled in blankets. Wow... I'm lazy lol! It's been raining/snowing all day so :/ BLEGH I can't do anything.

  • I'll go through times where I'm depressed and don't feel like doing anything and then suddenly I get super busy and can't stop doing things until I'm so burned out that I crash for an entire week. Like right now I'm super busy (I wish I had time to write ugh :/).

  • Does it feel more dead around here because of that? Lol I guess everyone is so wrapped up in the holidays that things will be slow here for a while. Ah yes... breaks are always nice... I hope it snows.

  • Haha yes...the sites are becoming ghost sites for a while, I suppose.

And snow is a wonderful fantasy where I live...

    Reply

    Nicole Raine | December 14, 2014

  • I'm assuming you live somewhere warm? Over where I live sometimes it snows a lot  and other times not at all. We just had snow this week for one day, but it melted the next day and it wasn't a lot. Still, that usually means that it will snow again harder at some point. Some places slightly North of us get A LOT of snow, and we end up getting the weaker tail-end of the storms usually.

  • Ah, yes, very, very warm.

And that's not as much fun...it's basically cold rain that leaves extra mud, haha.

  • I hate the rain. :/ If it's not snowing here, it's raining. We get precipitation at least once or twice a week usually. I'd rather the sun be shining all the time.

  • Haha! Well, we don't get any rain at all most weeks, though occasionally (*cough* maybe once every other month) we get a bit of sprinkling rain...

Danny Power? He was my first follower on here! I've read a few of his works, and have been meaning for a while to finish some and read some of the more recent ones. They were really good!

I was typing up Chapter 4 and I already have a five-star rating.

    It's a magical girl story.

  • I wonder about crossovers on this site.

How would they work? And which stories are suited to be crossed over?

  • I have said I am a college student, but I haven't told anyone my age. I will be turning 24 this month. So far making me the eldest member of this club, if not the whole site. Unless there is someone older than I am, that I don't know about.

But as one can say, wisdom comes with age. And it is possible to put an old head on a young body. I try to search for wisdom while I'm still young because I know what life will be like when I'm older. I will have no time to find the deeper meaning in all things due to massive amounts of stuff going on.

I have learned the importance of slowing down even for a little bit of time and take a look, even if only a glance, at the big picture. Utilizing the wisdom of the ancient times does indeed come in handy.

  • I'm not far behind you - I guess as of right now we are both 23. I'm almost certainly sure there are those who use this site who are older than us still (I find it quite difficult to imagine that we would be the elders of such a writing site!) I think that I'm personally the opposite of you - while you seem to be more contemplative, more discerning and wary of the future at hand and the need to learn more about yourself before you reach old age, I have Peter Pan syndrome and feel the need to be as blissfully ignorant as possible, for as LONG as possible! I feel personally that one can over think things, to allow themselves to be overwhelmed by any and all concepts of 'wisdom ' when the simple, imaginative mind of a child and the wonder it possesses (something which we have all had) holds the strongest - and most abstract - pull towards why we're here and what we can hope to achieve in our short little time on this earth =)

  • I'm 30. There are a few on this site that are roughly my age, and at least a few that are older than me.

  • 31, here. I'd imagined that once I turned 30 I'd feel some sort of graduation to grownup-ness (expectation of no scientific or sensible basis, I'm sure), but of course, there was no grandeur. It still blows my mind that after I had my children, the hospital let me take them both home! I can't even keep a plant alive! (Thankfully the children are faring better.)

I think all grownups are faking their grownupness, actually.

  • I'm now starting the production of the second book in my "Female Crusading Virtue Girls" series. But now there is a minor problem, I'm not an artist.

I have to use the same image of the first book for the cover of the second and third books. Can anyone here help me out, any artists?

Other than that, I would like to know how my works is doing.
Can you contact me through PM for input? And suggestions?
