Thank you for your critique! As of now, I'm uploading all chapters in a sort of second-draft form, and I'm editing them as-I-go offsite in chunks of 20 chapters (out of a planned 125.) 

That is called semantic satation, and it happens when the same word is used more than once in a sentence. I was taught to avoid it as best I can, but sometimes my brain farts. >.<

Time for me to turn off my processor's grammar machine. xD

I do understand how the conversations can sometimes be confusing, though. I'll work on that the best I can, since conversations that segue like that are a huge part of how I write.

[Thanks for spotting those errors. The second one is intentional, and uses an archaic form of speaking to prevent double negatives, but the first one wasn't. Will edit immediately!]

Your assumption on that is correct. The novel takes place twenty years before the events of the prologue. I'm very glad you're enjoying it and that this book is getting some exposure now; especially since (out of the works I have up here) it's the most difficult to write.
