Okay, my turn then.
Name: Just call me Huntress.
Reply
Favourite genres: fantasy, historical fiction, sci-fi
Favourite colours: Blue
Favourite music: I honestly don't have one. I like individual songs and very few at that.
Current works: Well, I'm editing Epic (the tiniest snippet of which is up here) seeing as I've finished it and hope to one day publish it. Other than that, I've started to many to count but I want to focus on either my Virtuality trilogy or Of Magic.
Hobbies: Aside from reading and writing? I like a handful of video games, watching Doctor Who, archery, swimming, skating, horse-back riding, and I've recently been getting into fencing.
Other: I . . . wish I had a horse? I dunno what to put here. Other than to maybe mention I'm from Canada so I'm NOT misspelling things. I'm just not using your strange Amercian versions.

Awesome! Nice to meet you Huntress. What a quinky dink, us both being into horses and archery. :)
I have to say I agree with you on music. I love this one song by Jewel but the rest of the album is like 'meh'.

Okay, so I just had a random thought; should we get a new club image?
I had a couple of pics in mind but will definitely wait for your thoughts as opinions before I do anything.

A new club image is a good idea. I have very few pics on my computer (somehow I only find nice images when I'm on my IPod), so if you have nice ones that you think will be good you're welcome to upload it.
ReplyHuntress of the Sea | January 21, 2015
Okay, cool. I'll put 'em up now.

Okay it would appear only the creator of a club can edit the club images page but all the images I had in mind are in my profile album if you wanted to take a look and then if you like any of them I'll tell you where I found them and you could get them and change it.
Cheers

Hi there. I have a couple of stories I would really like some feedback on. One is a short tradgedy I wrote to clear my writers block the other is a possible novella I would like to finish and publish one day so reviews and comments would be really appreciated.

I was looking at my Female Crusading Virtue Girls story.
I've only gotten to chapter three and I already have a five-star review.
What's up with that?
ReplyBenjamin Dine | April 26, 2015
I'm glad I got the five-star review.
But I thought it wouldn't come until I got father in.

Name: Michael Wilbur, though I also respond to Alan Tryth, my proxy in the Elsewhere Universe. For reasons I'd rather not disclose, I do not like being referred to by my last name.
Favorite genres: Fantasy, light science fiction, comedy. Interested in writing horror, both short and long, but managed to delete the only horror novel I managed to complete. Doh!
Favorite colors: While some would expect green and gray (the colors of Narrator Number One's shirt), I tend to favor lighter blues. I do like silver and light gray, though.
Fav Musical artists: Lately, Miracle of Sound, The Pillows, and Yellowcard.
Current Works: Doing a sweep of The Sakamota Journals: Sera and the Dragon and the final edit of A Dreamer's Knight: Flights of Fancy. I'm also working on a complete rewrite of an old nanowrimo project now titled, Wander: A Scarecrow's Tale, as well as the fourth book in the Dreamer's Knight series, tentatively titled A Dreamer's Knight: The Nature of Truth.
Hobbies: Walking, cooking, Minecraft (On Vox Populi), and watching
Other: My favorite Muppet is Lew Zealand, the Boomerang Fish thrower.

Hey everyone! After a multiple year hiatus I am back to this site and ready to get this show on the road! I've got a chapter up and am in the process of reviewing/critiquing two different stories.
I've also set up a club exclusively for giving advice or sharing opinions on. I hope this doesn't sound spammy but I was thinking that maybe you guys could take a look at it and let me know what you think?
So far there are only two discussions up- one on prologues and one on how to start your novel (I know they are both closely related but I figured they were good follow ups to one another).

Hello all! I've been here and there on sparkatale bit tying to be more active. There are so many writing based websites and I try to be active in them all to meet people and share my writing. I mostly write fantasy but I like to wriye sci-fi and dystopian as well and often play with mixed media and experimental writing styles. I am currently working on finishing my novel for publication but I also have a fantasy novella titled calliope on Amazon. However I'm offering g for free on Inkitt as part of a contest they are running. Feel free to give it a read and if you like it, I would appreciate it if you could give it a vote! So far in in the top 10, so that's pretty eveveryoneou can read and vote here: http://www.inkitt.com/stories/21028 I'm slowly working on getting some content on my profile here. Right now there are a lot of poems and short stories. I am working towards my masters degree in writing with the goal of being a college writing professor. I am experienced with critiquing in order to help people better their writing, so I don't mind helping out with anyone's writing, poems or stories. So don't hesitate to ask! I'm often browsing content on here that hasn't gotten any reviews in order to help out. I guess that's it for now. Nice to meet everyone!

I've tried the Inkitt format, but I find it too limited. I find SparkaTale offers a more pleasing presentation of my text. While I find some of the conventions here a little overly complex, I do like the way my stories look.
