-The Nutcracker Queen-

Verse 1:

"I've heard about a girl,
who could make your dreams come true.
But if you left, despair would follow.
Sometimes I ask if this is true.

I've heard she loves the color blue,
and smiles at peppered snow.
But she would fade in all but name,
and no-one seems to know.

Bridge:

"I believe in what I see,
and what I see is staring back at me.
Some like me just make-believe,
but you seem real..."

Chorus:

"I could chase the fantasy,
but I would never grow near to her, I know,
what I know is that you're real enough to me.
And some might say you're just a dream,
but I can see the way you look at me.
I think I found the legend of the Nutcracker Queen."

Verse 2:

"I've heard she chimes at books and rhymes,
and wishes her life away.
I've heard her laugh in London streets,
at wind and rain and paper sheets.

Some might say she loves to stay
but disappears in all but name.
And no-one seems to go..."

Bridge:

"I believe in what I see,
and what I love is staring back at me.
Some might say she's make-believe,
but you seem real..."

Chorus:

"I could chase the fantasy,
but I would never grow near to you, I know,
what I know is that you're real enough to me.
And some might say you're just a dream,
but I can see the way you look at me.
I think I found the image of the Nutcracker Queen.

"I could chase this fantasy,
but I would never grow near to her, I know,
I think I might lose my Nutcracker Queen."

Bridge 3:

"Wer ist das, wer verschwindet?
Warum willst du verschwinden?
Wer ist das, der mich zum Lachen bringt?
Ich wünsche Ihnen nie verschwunden..."

Chorus:

"I could chase the fantasy,
but she could never fall for me, I know,
but I know is that you're real enough to me.
And some might say you're just a dream,
but I can see the way you looked at me.
I think I found the ghost of the Nutcracker Queen.

"I have chased this fantasy,
but I have never grown near to her, I know,
I think I lost my Nutcracker Queen."
