Bonds that tie—
Plural, this time it is.
Through the hearts
Comes first of all,
But a second
Develops
In two minds'
Eye...

It starts as a flicker
A signal to tune in
Like a radio—
Static noise…
Filters through,
Hits the mind,
Translates from untold dialects,
Becomes a thought—
Hear it in the mind
And feel it in the body…

Flash of lightning
From distant shores
The other jumps,
Shook to the core.

Pulses of invisible beings
Penetrates an open vessel
Brings the seeker
Vision…
Feeling…
Sounds…
Memories…
Unwilling volunteer
Replays a lifetime in but a
Minute
The grip lets go
The seeker shudders, and knows.

Clap of thunder
From nowhere sounds
The other feels it
An energy's around.

If there's a dream
They both will know.
If there's a message
It never goes untold.
If there is a distress signal
It's heard and it's handled.
The force of double bonds
Holds strong,
True,
Eternal…
Never releases—
May be kept at bay
But never defeated.

Through the minds' eye
Comes a stronger bond
That may never be
Understood
By the
Ordinary.
It is forever encased
In the fingers of fate
That tie two
Individuals
Friends
Companions
Lovers…
Ties them together…

Double-bonds
Never fade away…

I like your story. it sort of reminds me of Star Man the movie. With the aliens thinking humans would be okay with them visiting because of the invitation sent to space. My advice would be in regards to the aliens. All the worlds you talk about are new and some more details about the history and the backstory of the aliens would be nice. I was a little confused as to which planet the alien on earth was from. Of course it could just be me and I need to reread the story too. Keep up the good work.
