Summary:
In a world where even the slightest talk of magic or the Marked can get you killed, Raina Tucker and her family turn a small family owned inn into a haven of safety for those needing to flee the country or "cross the river." Unbeknownst to their daughter, Leonna, the inn ferries dozens of souls a year to safety. When the inn comes under attack from the malevolent Emperor Leonna must decide if she has the courage to fight or if fleeing is her only option to fight another day.

I really like how you've set up your world in the first chapter! Very easy to understand and enjoy, and you didn't go and info dump your readers.
