Sparkatale

A piece of transparant stone,
almost as old as time itself,
bathed in yellow light,
colder than its warm tones.

Inside this forgotten Calcite,
are cracks and ridges
that represent the clouds and the sky,
forever suspended.

It makes me think,
if there was ever a way,
to suspend my favorite day,
frozen in time.

So when I cradle this stone,
and hold it in my hands,
I could wonder if we're the same,
a universe set in stone.
