Always in trouble

Dreary and feeble

I wonder

If my destiny is to wander

Where is the answer?

Roaming, hurting, bleeding

Still wondering

What is the path I should be following

In the shadows

A monster did lurk

Hiding, hiding a smirk

He looked at me, and I heard

His words as he whispered

“I am not what I am

We are both more than what we seem

I am not real, nor are you

If you can’t find what is really true

The answer is in your mind

The real monster is sleeping in your mind

These words echoed at my ears

And stayed with me for years

My eyes are adjusted to the dark

And my heart turned to black

My head is aching

My mind is broken

Numb are my feelings

And my soul stolen

I might have lost my track

Still I followed a certain road

The only road for me
