-The Cameraman-

Verse 1:

"You say actor, I say liar.
You say picture, I say torture.
Never one to show myself
when I could hide behind this wall.

You think hope, I think despair.
You say horror, I say fair.
Ask yourself, do you really care,
if your face won't be seen by all?"

Chorus:

" I want to live behind the lens
and let those smiles elude me.
I want to be the cameraman
So I don't see what they see.

I need to move, revolve around
take what's mine before I'm found.
Pictures fall onto the ground
But I'll be fine if I can hide."

Verse 2:

"You say drama, I say karma.
You say picture, I say never.
Let me take this photograph,
and watch your smile engraved in time.
You say please and I say sorry.
You think 'why' while I think 'worry
You give up while I say hurry.
The flash goes off and we're all fine."

Chorus:

" I want to live behind the lens
and let those smiles elude me.
I want to be the cameraman
So I don't see what they see.

I need to move, revolve around
take what's mine before I'm found.
Pictures fall onto the ground
But I'll be fine if I can hide."

Verse 3:

"Sometime, many years from now.
You'll forget I was ever around.
No face to see beside you,
when you try your best to look right back.

And maybe I'm fine with that.

You said please and I said sorry,
Because who would want to see my story?"

Chorus:

" I want to live behind the lens
and let those smiles elude me.
I want to be the cameraman
So I don't see what they see.

I need to move, revolve around
take what's mine before I'm found.
Pictures fall onto the ground
But I'll be fine if I can hide."

"Who would want to read my story..."
