Spell caster.

You hold in your hand an invisible wand. You hold in your mind an invisible spell book.

You hold in your eyes the watch that keeps me locked in your trance...

I try to fight and pull away, but you keep me here...

Keep me in your dizzying haze—

Spell caster.

Then you throw the spells and shoot me through the soul,

And you cry to plead insanity...

Almost instantly I obey and almost instantly I start swaying back and forth

Grabbing the sides of my head...

You watch me - Observe me - interested and frightened by the crazed look within my eyes...

I reach a hand to you and my eyes plead with you—

Pleading the insanity you so instructed of me...

And you step back. The wand drops and shatters. Do you not know what to do now?

My eyes scream for help while my brain rattles relentlessly...

You step away again... My trembling hand touches you though and the tears come...

Falling down your fragile face as you realize...

Mistake... Unfortunate mistake...

And so we're both insane. The mental struggles continue within the both of us—

Mine, the frightening spiral

Yours, the horrified knowledge of that which you don't know...

We're both on the ground, side by side

I'm grasping my forehead and you're shielding your eyes...

"I can't stand this! Make this stop!" We're both screaming in unison...

Begging... pleading... screaming... demanding...

The writhing goes on until there is no more energy and a tired rest falls overhead...

Mistake. Unfortunate mistake.

Oh, Spell caster,

You've casted this pleading insanity upon me...

Please, Spell caster,

Please release your grip on me...

Stop this spiral... Save me from the ground... Save yourself this misery...

Save us both...

I plead insanity...
