Reviews & Critiques
Is there a difference between a critique, a comment and a review? Are they defined somewhere here? Or do they all mean the same feedback situation?

The answer to your question is both yes and no. While all three 'are' feedback situations they are very different feedback situations. A critique tells what you though could have been better about the story you have read so far (implying it isn't finished). If there didn't seem to be anything wrongbthat you could see, it would seem more fitting to use a... Comment: these are used to tellwhat you thought of a specific chapter, as they are chapter by chapter designed anyway, unless you go for Book Comments. Comments allow you to express tour views on a specific part of the story. What you liked, what you didn't like, what you thought could have been better etc etc. They, alike to critiques in a way, can also be used to point out mistakes in the chapter, such as spelling and grammar issues. Reviews are a little different in the respect that you can only post one review for a story. While you can edit your review if you so wish it cab still only be used to express opinions on the entire story, that which has been posted anyway. Reviews also allow a person to rate a story, from 1 star to 5. This is awesome for the writer as it allows them a chance at tackling the tip ten list and also gaining more readers/commenters/reviewers etc. So, that is the explanation I give for these three useful options. I hope that helped you understand, if not, I do apologize. Dante out

Actually, I was wondering where in the site these categories were defined.

So far as I know, they aren't. Perhaps a question to the Administrator in either Suggestions if you are prepared to wait a while or Bugs if you want a quick answer. This is all the advice I have to offer. Dante out
