Books: Strictly novel length/novella or also short stories?
Hey everyone! I'm new to the site, and I was wondering if I could bother y'all for an opinion on this. I'm primarily used to writing short stories (though I am working on novella/novel length stories too). When I posted my first "book" here, it was a single short story, with its parts cut up into three chapters. I'm doing that for most, if not all, of my short stories simply because I have a lot of short stories in the 6,000-12,000 words range. Is this a good strategy, or am I blaspheming and should just bundle the short stories into a collection, despite word count?

For sites like these it's best to cut up long stories into 1,500 -2,000 word segments. people are often accessing these sites on their phones/tablets and so it's easier to keep track of where they left off (as a reader this has been my experience).
My short stories are 8,000 words each - i often cut them up into 4 sections if it's possible. For my novels - i'll post the full length chapter 1 & 2 and then post chapter 3- onward in segments (because it takes me much longer to write).
Hope the advice helps
