Chain World: New Idea?
I've had this idea for two years, and started a manga for it but it was discontinued. I intended to restart it as a manga but I felt the need to write it out as a story first. The basis is a parallel world (as usual) and I mean WORLD. I realized that in most fabricated lands that they are a KINGDOM populating a small area. I intend for a world of 124 independent races with their own leaders. The idea was for an international battle sparked by one of the 124 countries (any one, really) to establish a certain matter (I'm no good with politics. People under 14 like me have issues with that) I like to think of it like "WWII" without the genocide and heartless murder. Maybe some of it. Please leave any suggestions or help with my idea > < I've been waiting a long time to execute this idea :)

Hi! Your idea sounds interesting, something I for one would definitely enjoy reading. I do have a suggestion though. 124 is a rather large number of individual races with their own leaders. Perhaps you could lower it? A reader would have trouble remembering the different races, not to mention for you, the writer, it might be difficult or incredibly time consuming to come up with the unique races and how they all interact or behave, customs of each race, etc. Also, with such a large number of nations, a lot of your writing might end up just being explanations and introductions of these races which could drag your story out and make readers lose interest. For the reason of this WWII-like war, the antagonizing nation could have broken a treaty or something. Treaties played a huge role in getting multiple nations involved during one of the World Wars (never thought that a Modern World History unit from last year would ever come to use). You could also do some research to see what 'sparked' a few major wars to get an idea of how your war could start. If my memory serves me correctly, WWI (arguably) began when the heir of the Austria-Hungarian empire was assassinated. Okay, that was a lot, I didn't intend to write that much. Woops. Anyway, you've got an idea and you seem to have the willpower and drive to act on it. You just need to start writing. Good luck!

Thanks so much for your feedback, I genuinely appreciate it! Yes, admittedly I haven't the faintest idea what I was thinking when I said 124, in fact I've even narrowed it down to a plain 17. Hmm, a treaty? That's really interesting, I hadn't thought of that! I suppose it pays to take from the history of the world, doesn't it? (I know what you mean about history. I'd have tried to use my own knowledge if all I knew wasn't just French Revolutions and Civil Wars) I'm grateful for your support and will begin writing soon!

a bit late I know but I want to put in my 2 cents >.< other possible reasons for the war starting include wanting land either out of need or greed, a race believing themselves to be superior and wanting to prove it, or a country being framed by some evil organization or other. either or it all leads to a treaty being broken, but more detail might help. also one race can also have more than one country, it'd be more realistic, and not naming off every country's name and maybe just giving a vague number would be sensible as well. same goes for all the races, not all races need to appear, and might not even need to be named. giving a number is fine.
