I am a twenty-something perpetual student living in sunny Southern California. I have been writing my entire life, but have finally worked up the courage to commit to pieces of fiction long enough to present them to you, the reader. My love affair with the written word began with my mother, who was always to be counted on for some praise whenever I would hand her some short story written on construction paper (most often in crayon). I am addicted to travel, an obsession I share with my husband of 3 years. If I'm not writing, or studying for school, or working, we are off having adventures and sharing the world with each other. I enjoy reading and writing within the fantasy genre, although I am also interested in branching out and trying my hand at science-fiction. Margaret Atwood and Orson Scott Card have me both inspired and hopelessly discouraged at the idea. When I am feeling particularly morose, I also enjoy writing a little horror. Nothing like a little taste of the macabre to scare the shadows away! Honestly, I have been an avid reader my entire life, and I have always felt the pull to put down in words this wordless narrative I carry in my heart. So, this is me, attempting to expel that urge to say something. Please, even if you must be harsh, be gentle. I will do my best.
