Hey Danny!

I'd read this some months ago and then forgot about it. Came back to it today and I have to say this is an amazing first chapter. I really need to learn how describe the world from you. I could smell the salty sea shores, the large, somewhat daunting house and more or less everything.

The protagonist is such a nice mixture of early teenage courage and curiosity (the way he wants to know what's going on) and  childish fears ( how the info about the war terrifies him and he seeks refuge under his blankets).

This is such a solid intro. The story about his parents also seems intriguing. I am sure there's more coming ahead.

Good job, brother. Can't wait to read on!
