Rating:Delightful free-verse poem, with an interesting cycle through primary emotions; from passion to calmness, from depression to hope. Word choices are direct enough to get across the message, although the rhythm doesn't flow extremely neatly. Then again, neither does the mind. 4/5 stars.

Rating:I would love tü see this developed. Beyond the fact of unused potential for the Where's Waldo (Book) jokes (although I appreciated the one's present), this story needs... Well , no. Never mind. That's my only complaint. Not enough book jokes. Maybe, no, definitely make it longer. I recommend nothing past a first chapter. That said, make it a 5,000 word or so chapter.

Thank you for your input! In the most recent two chapters I tried some more subtle humor, although I retained some style of in-your-face jokes. I'd love to know if what you read is more along the lines of what you were talking about.

Thank you! Aye, they are one in the same. Although sarcasm as a personality type is possible in a genie, it's unlikely. They are raised in a culture that thrives on the literal. This is why metaphors & idiomatic expressions go over their heads. Now, if they DO use it, it will most likely be the cause of, aye, some sort of ruse. Good question!
