Can you see the freedom in the stars?

A sea of glittering twinkling white

Arrayed around the silver moon

They overlook the earth below

Silent eternal sentinels

Observing from the heavens blue

Millions and millions of miles away

Can you see the freedom in the stars?

They hang in dark of nothingness

Like holes in the fabric of endless space

Some say the stars are the spirits of the fallen

Looking down on those they left behind

While ascending the ladder to Heaven's Gates

To wait for the living in eternal bliss

Can you see the freedom in the stars?

They illuminate the dark of night

Watching as the battles rage and rage

A bitter conflict of countless struggles

Hope that the fighting will end at last

Hope we'll be free from the shackles of war

Among the screams and horror of death

Can you see the freedom in the stars?

Look to the beacons of heaven's light

And live to fight another day

Strengthen your heart and Steel your resolve

Soothe the scars on a battle-worn soul

And believe that we will one day be free

Free from the fighting

At last
