We were nothing but constellations
Connected by only distance and spaces...

I. Doze

I wish the time would come
When we could talk past midnight
And you'd say things about you
I'd say things about me
We'll have a speck of discussion
About the cosmos and the fates
About dreams and portions of complexity
Unfazed by rays of words and ignorance
That fall on the mouths of people under daylight
Let's talk about questions
Of hows and whys
And let's invite the dust of the moon
To settle down on our pupils
As we wait, let's talk about glimpses of the unknwon
And hints of oblivion, and the foreboding present
Until my mouth slips on its tongue
And I'd say things about you
You'd say things about me
And as night and morning starts to dance
We could say things about us.

II. Dotted

I look at the sky

My finger draws a line

on that space between

one lonely star to another

I look at the sky

My head ponders

on the thought whether the stars

ever does the same to us

-o0o-

III. Contrast

You just might be the moon
When you make my nights brighter
And I just might be the tide
As you pull me in at perigee.

But I might just be the moon
When I make your nights vexing
And you might just be the tide
As I let go of you at apogee.

IV. An Ode To Venus

Maybe you were Venus
and maybe I was Earth
Maybe that waas why it felt dizzy
spinning around like planets
in their orbits
Maybe that was why we wait
for a long time
before we come close enough
to be heard if we shout
Then wait again till these voices
get killed by distance
Maybe that was why
you were meant only to shine brightest
and be crowned as the evening star
because nightfall is when dreams
scream loudest
And maybe that is why our paths
are not meant to cross each other
Ever
We - unorthodoxy, anomaly
We are impossible
