What happens to the pages never marked?
The stories never told?
The ideas never considered?
What happens to the things left unmentioned?
The thoughts simply avoided?
The questions never asked?
Do they slip away into oblivion, hiding until they disappear from imagination?
Or do they sneak up on us when most vulnerable, hearts pounding, thoughts askew?
I’d like to think a thought that
no one did;
live in a world no one else has lived
