And when I cross that river;
He smiles back again?
I turn away,
only to come back again
And as I dug that early grave,
He smiled back again.
I dig away,
only to stop again
And as I sat that early stone,
He smiled back again.
I gaze away,
only to meet again.
And as I knelt at that aging stone,
Clouds overhead,
He smiled back again.
I lay the flowers,
it’s time to meet again.
