Leaves in Autumn
At one point each year, the trees catch fire.
The leaves all
changing, changing, changing.
Changing from green, to yellow, to orange, to red, to brown.
Leaves changing in Autumn.
.
The wind blows hard, and the leaves fall.
They twist and turn, one at a time,
down, down, down.
Down to the ground until the trees are bare and cold.
Leaves fall down in Autumn.
.
In that cold wind, the leaves spin.
They twirl in circles,
dancing, dancing, dancing.
Dancing and running and chasing down streets.
Leaves dancing in Autumn.
.
A family rakes the leaves in a pile.
Jumping in it, making
memories, memories, memories.
Memories form from laughter and fun.
Leaves make memories in Autumn.
.
Temperatures drop, it gets colder each day.
Frost on the grass and breaths are seen, Autumn is
leaving, leaving, leaving.
Leaving with its leaves to make room for frozen Winter.
Leaves leaving in Autumn.
.
The leaves are gone and winter is here.
But next year, at the same time, they will
return, return, return.
Return next Autumn, in their full beauty once again.
Leaves will return in Autumn.

Love the repitition you used here. Would like to see more showing than telling. There's a lot of opportunity here to really go deep into metaphores. Bring the trees and leaves to life. Autumn is such a beautiful time of year. This has a great start to it. I think if you chose to rework it, it would really be a beautiful peice :)
