I'm a child,
But a child, with wishes lost and power gone
Arrogance exuded from my very being
My only shield left in this world

I'm a child,
But a child
Naivety and narrow-mindedness bringing me the falling from grace
The pedestal levitating the prideful me crumbling to pieces

I'm a child,
But a child
Whose eyes have seen all of nothing and none of everything

I'm a child,
But a child with a life of lies
And eyes of truths
A heart filled with ice,
The frostbite sending shivers of coldness down my spine, phantom as they come as the mind would allow

I'm a child,
But a child,
Whose compassionate side has told her nothing, but has brought her joy after her descent to Hell, the false paradise falling to dust

I'm a child,
A child with hopes for the world she hasn't witnessed and dreams she's to see

I'm a child,
Starved, beaten, and disparaged,
But still a child

I'm a child who hasn't anything left for her,
But for the Id that resides in my being, super ego vanishing and ego being but a shadow

But I'm a child,
A child of Humans
I am,
a child
