Where I’m from:

I am from place of wonder and smiling faces,
From a house of childhood memories both on the walls and in frames.
I am from war, of both kinds-
Making obscure friends along the way.

I am from kind gestures and hard moments.
Making me tough but kind – learning things only children dream about,
Both happily and not.
I come from progress, and a will to archive what other have not.
And in that lose more friends and family then I care to admit.

I come from bliss, in my achievements. Being able to finally say I had
Done something for my own.
I come from learning from my actions, and making sure that I (alone)
Pay for them.  I come from Grace, and learning wean and where It is appropriate
To speak my mind. Then failing to fully learn that lesson.

I come from the future, and all the grace and hope it holds.
Saying goodbye to the old and gladly accepting the new.

I come from now, with everything I’ve learned in my time on earth.
And accepting all that I’m learning now and all that I will learn.
Hoping for a bright future to lighten the dreary past.
