I sip my milk

Sitting by the hearth

Blowing bubbles in the straw

The flames will burn away my worries

Engulfing them in thick orange heat

So I can enjoy the present

And not worry about tomorrow

“Thank you.” I smile.

Finishing the milk

And letting the warmth smother me

Like a friend’s hug

I sip my milk

Sitting by the hearth

Blowing bubbles in the straw

The flames will burn away my worries

Engulfing them in thick orange heat

So I can enjoy the present

And not worry about tomorrow

“Thank you.” I smile.

Finishing the milk

And letting the warmth smother me

Like a friend’s hug
