She's watching.
I can feel her light settle on my shoulders, the beams cutting across the clearing.
They alight on my face, bringing the crystal sheen of my tears into focus.
I can feel my heart breaking in my chest, shattering into tiny pieces, like a plate that had fallen to the ground.
Breaking, breaking, broken.
I clench a hand to my chest, emerald eyes glittering with unshed tears; Tears that will never fall.
The moons eyes gaze down at me, warm and welcoming as I am forced to witness the love of my life leave me once again, off to a place I can never reach.
My knees hit the green, glittery grass, my body broken like an abandoned doll, left deserted, feeling useless and alone.
The moons eyes are my only witness, holding court with the stars, glowing down at me while I wept out all my heartache until I am empty.
Empty as the cold snow she chose over me.
