New Fantasy Story, please help!
Alright I have been addicted to fantasy stories lately and am coming close to finishing my part romance part adventure story about assassins and magic, but I don't know what to do after this. I can't stand the though of not having something to write so if anybody has any ideas for a general plot, that would be awesome. (Sorry if something similar has already been posted, I'm new the whole forum landscape.)

I'm just going to throw down a couple ideas here for you.
-Protagonist lives in nation being torn apart by civil war, and his town is beset by the bad guys (whoever they are), and he and his loved ones are forced to flee and live as fugitives, striking the enemy secretly on night raids. The civil war is lost by the good guys, so the remaining good guys have to secretly build back up to start a revolution. (A story like this can take place in any era, from prehistoric type fighting all the way to futuristic fighting in space!)
-A peaceful society lives in an isolated area (eg. valley, island, small planet, etc.) and the people are happy and content for a long time when suddenly a warlike civilization comes out of nowhere, focused on annihilating the peaceful people and taking their paradise-like land. The protagonist must lead his people in the defense of their home and lives. (A story like this can take place in any era, from prehistoric type fighting all the way to futuristic fighting in space!)
Stories like these can also be fought with or without magic, or with or without mythical creatures or made up ones or anything like that to make in into fantasy, and of COURSE one can always add romance to spice it up a little and raise the stakes.
Sorry if you don't like these ideas or find them too boring or average, but they were both just ideas off the top of my head to help you out and maybe spur your imagination. Good day!

Thank you, that was all I needed. I like to start off with basic topics and run with them, so what you provided was excellent. I especially liked the peaceful isolated kingdom invaded by a war driven one, it's kind of like a prequel to the throne of glass, and I could stretch it out to fit the full sequence of events. Magic is a crutch in my writing so I'll see if I can write one without, but magical creatures are not out of the question. Thank you again for the excellent ideas.
