Emily Sommers is taking risks and experiencing new things, just not the way her parents wanted. When she is caught with an illegal drug instead of facing court charges she is sentenced to a summer at the isolated Bensely Correctional Center. Deep in the woods and miles from real civilization, Emily is forced to attend groups and seminars as well as personalized therapy to help her get over her "addiction". She goes in expecting the worst and is greeted by more kids like her, a shady roommate and a bucket load of crap. But when a mysterious boy finds his way into her life, Emily cant help feeling that the summer isn't doomed after all
