While on vacation in Venice, Terra Benedicta's wife and son were gunned down by a mysterious assailant. Shortly after the funerals, his coworkers started forgetting all about them. Then their passports went blank, and the government took it all. With no other option, Terra accepts a job from the enigmatic Aeon, a self-proclaimed god with connections to the Hungarian magical mafia.
