At the age of 16 he was admitted to a state psychiatric ward in Montana, suffering from strange hallucinations and corruscate sparks of color. Two years later, after a doctor's concern over him being addicted to the synthetic drug ketamine, he is sent to a rehab facility. As professional as it sounds and looks, there are secrets hiding behind the great white wall that looms over it, oppressing even those who aren't aware of it, or in Shadow's case, those who can't even see it and never had known its existence. Yet even his eyes were burned out long ago, Sonic knows that united they will stand, and divided they will fall.
