Among the many diffrent stories, there is a true one. One of cats who live in another world. Cats with blue paws, who hunt down creatures for food, and live on their own in the wild. We look like normal house cats, but we are anything but. So gather aruond my dear human reders, as I tell the stories of special cats. The Twi Cats are powerful, some are born psychic. Though there are very few born this way today, many cats were born like that in the days of old! But among the normal Twi Cats with their normal power, and the psychic Twi Cats, there is another kind. A cat called a Paw. Only one lives at a time, and their sometimes born years apart or right after the previous one died. We live in the time of the Paw named SoulPaw.
Paws are special because they have unimaginable power! They're Paws are also diffrent, while every cat born, even psychic cats, have blue paws these cats have paws of all diffrent colors. The color shows what their powers are based off. The Paws you'll hear of, were all named to have names based off their powers they weild. Today, we'l hear a story from the days of old I'd mentioned The time of the first queen, TwilightQueen, and the first paw, IcePaw
2: Chapter One: Birth of the PawIt was a beautiful day, when Enchant gave birth to a litter of seven. She was cleaning them the week after and noticed markings developing on all the kitten's paws. But one kitten had white markings, unlike every other cat born to this point. She took this kitten to their leader, TwilightQueen and she spoke of a vision showing this kitten. "This kitten, is something that I have named the Paw." she explained. But Enchant was terribly confused. "I'd seen a vision explaining them to me. She will have such great power, and there will be others like her. The way you'll tell their a Paw, as I call them, is by their diffrent colored paws." Enchant was still terribly confused but nodded and took the kitten back to her brothers and sisters. Usually, the queen would name the kittens, but she decided the one she would name is this apparent 'Paw'.
The kittens were now able to walk and see and smell. The three week old cats stared at their mother as they sat in a row. All except the white pawed kitten. She was sent to the queen to recieve her name. But Enchant decided to name the rest. The first cat, and the very first to be born, was a cat who's fur color resembled the light brown bedding used for the kittens. Her eyes were also a bright blue, just like her mother's. "You, my dear, will from this day forward be MudPelt." MudPelt didn't seem to pleased with her name though. The next kitten was the youngest, yet the tallest out of the kittens so far. He had teal eyes and a fanged smile. His main fur color was dark red though blue marking were all over his face. "You, will be Stray." she said. He purred at the name, Stray would be just fine seeing as it matched how he acted. The third kitten was a at that was entirely bright blue, and her paws blended with this bright fur. Her right eye was violet, while the left one was orange, her father's eye color. "You'll be Syria." she told her.
Meanwhile, while the rest got their names, TwilightQueen was pacing around the kitten. Trying to decide of a name. "Show me any abilities you can preform." she said, after about six minutes of pacing. The nameless kitten sighed and looked at the ground. Her eyes now shone like ice, and ice spead arlund her paws. The queen gave a 'hm' sound and paced around the kitten some more, about four more minutes to be exact. "I have it." she finally said. The kitten looked up at her and TwilightQueen smiled. "Your name is now IcePaw." What a horrible name. IcePaw thought to herself. TwilightQueen then began to walk out of the den, IcePaw following. "Let's get you home little IcePaw." she said to the kitten as they walked to a hut.
By this time, the other kittens had gotten their names and were playing in the forest. It would be two more weeks before they were presented to the rest of the Twi Cats, so why not give them a chance to have fun? When IcePaw arrived her mother looked up at them. TwilightQueen spoke when Enchant woke up. "She is now IcePaw," the queen began, "treat her well, and make sure she is not harmed." then left. Enchant walked over to her kitten. IcePaw expected her to say that she could go play, or that there was a mouse saved for her, but her mother instead said "Go to the Luner Rock, and wait there." Why do I have to wait at the meeting place? Icepaw thought. But she wouldn't disobey her mother, so she left.
When the other cats had all gathered around, Enchant set IcePaw on the Luner Rock itself. It's so cold under my paws! She thought, fur on her back pricking. Enchant then began to speak, "My daughter, IcePaw, is going to beginher training to become a hunter next Luna Cresent." IcePaw heard this and burst out exclaiming, "But next Luna Cresent is in two days! Why don't the other kittens begin training then?" The other Twi Cats all began to quietly growl about her manners, but they all hushed after a minute or two. Enchant then continued, "I will be picking a trainer tomorrow at Solris Set." she mewed. The idea of her training starting, and getting a trainer picked for her so soon was more then enough to tick off the kitten, who didn't understand why it'd start so soon!
3: Chapter Two: Sybling RivalThe next day IcePaw had to get up extra early. She had gone outside with her mom, and the hunters who were willing to take her under their paw were all lined up outside. IcePaw saw her sister, a white and green kitten with the normal new markings walk out next to IcePaw. Ice seemed quite confused but before they could exchange even a simple nod, she heard her name. "IcePaw," her mother called, "you will be going with Kami." IcePaw sighed and her mom led her over to a cat with fur as bright as the solaris. He gave her a soft smile, "Shall we be going, my dear kitten?"
IcePaw had to leave before even hearing her sister's name, or knowing why she had walked out by her. Was she only there to see her off? "So," he began, ripping her away from her thoughts, "your that special cat with paw's of another color?" IcePaw nodded, not saying a word. Passive agressive, maybe, thought Kami. He walked her to a river in the forest then suddenly dropped into a crouch. IcePaw did the same. She did't know what he was possibly thinking at first, but then she smelled one of the other Twi animals. A Twi Rabbit, hopping closer and closer. Suddenly, she looked next to her and Kami had gone! "Kami? Kami, mentor, where are you?" She heard a pounce.
They walked home, a rabbit dangling from Kami's mouth, and a mouse from IcePaw's. Before they parted ways, Kami made a comment saying "I'm sure one day you'll learn to catch more then a mouse."
She went home and got some rest. Tomorrow would be even better. Because it was now the time her official training to begin. She was trying to master her ice abilities, or at least learn to do more then just freeze the ground around her. She, by now, had learned to make sharp ice shards the size of her small claws. Though she could only make them, so she could not fling them at all.
After being taken out for hunting, she had went outside her family's hut and began to make ice shards. She then began to focus as she created them. She tried and tried to make them float and hit the targets, but they wouldn't even come off the ground an inch. Suddenly though, a long stem from a plant and it wrapped around a shard. IcePaw reacted by slaming her paw on it and ripping it in half with her claws. She then heard the yowl of her sister, the same that was there when she had sat with her mom, about to get her mentor. She ran over, and pinned down her sister playfully.
"Hey," IcePaw yolwled.
"Oh, it's you IcePaw," her sister said before backing off her.
Just then, IcePaw realized that a stem had grabbed her shard. But that possibly couldn't be, unless she was a psychic cat. Wait, a psychic cat? A psychic being my sister? IcePaw thought to herself.
"I got my name at Solaris Center today! From then on, I have been named CloverPelt."
CloverPelt had a large four leaf clover in front of her right ear, and a long stem from it. The stem seemed to wrap around her ear, and she had a thorned vine necklace with rose flowers on it. The necklace and clover didn't seem dead but seemed as alive as if they were planted in the ground, implying that she after all was a psychic cat, and that her powers based themselves around the clover and vine necklace. "So, are you a psychic cat, CloverPelt?" IcePaw asked curiously. CloverPelt couldn't help laughing. "Well, yeah!" she mewed, trying to stop laughing.
IcePaw smiled, showing off her small fangs, and got ready to pounce on her. CloverPelt noticed this challenge and then, instead of pouncing on each other, began to circle eachother. IcePaw's claws unsheathed, and CloverPelt's clover stem then began to grow and move as if it were an extension of her body. They circled each other, then the stem tried to whip IcePaw. IcePaw easily dodged, but had to run from the stem instead of trying to strait up attack her sister.
"Try and learn through battle like I did!"
CloverPelt's yowl rang in IcePaw's mind for a second. She then created her ice shards, not focusing too much and still running. The shards simply shot at her on their own. She made four, but only one hit her. It her leg and was stuck in there, a whimper sounding from her. The stem then returned to nrmal size, wrapped around her ear. Before CloverPelt could attack, IcePaw pinned her down.
They then started to laugh. "Good job, IcePaw," CloverPelt said, seeming proud of her sister. IcePaw got off and let her sister up.
"So what did you mean by 'in battle'? Did you sneak into the woods and find a stray animal that tried to hurt you like a snake or something," IcePaw asked.
"I got my mentor the day after you!"
"What? You got a mentor? Who," IcePaw asked
CloverPelt answered with a purr, "Luxus. You know, the queen's third favorite hunter?"
IcePaw was struck with rage but was still happy for her sister. But she was going to choke down her rage for a moment. The sisters made eye contact and then IcePaw put out one of her paws, the pad up. "May the best Twi win." she said. Her sister understood instantly and immediately put her blue paw onto IcePaw's, and they shook paws. "Alright, IcePaw. Deal," CloverPelt purred. It was the start of a beautiful rivalry, but who would come out victor?
4: Chapter Three: Hunt With CloverPelt"IcePaw," a voice called from outside the hut. IcePaw's ears pricked and she looked over at her other syblings. None of them had started training yet, not including CloverPelt. But CloverPelt's mentor had a much deeper voice. Kami must have come early today. IcePaw thought to herself. She wasn't too excited about having to start training so early, but when she went outside Kami had another cat with him! A dark, sleek, black furred cat who had light blue paws and light blue markings. His bright yellow eyes shined in the morning sun, and he looked at IcePaw, forcing a smile. "Who's he," IcePaw asked. "I have chosen a mentor for one of your other syblings at the request of your mother," he answered. "Your brother, Coyote, is my new student," the black cat said. "I'll get him," IcePaw exclaimed. She dashed into the hut and came back out with her brother. Coyote was a brown cat with dark blue paws and reddish brown markings. His deep green eyes stared into the eyes of his new mentor, then he glanced at Kami.
"So, your Coyote," the cat questioned.
"Yes, and you are," Coyote asked back, trying to sound formal.
"I am DuskMoon. Your new mentor."
Upon hearing this, Coyote threw away his act and howled, trying to act like a true coyote, and not a Twi Cat named after one.
The two hunters laughed to themselves before Coyote left for his first training session with DuskMoon.
"So, where's CloverPelt, I have some bad news," Kami asked IcePaw.
IcePaw stared curiously at Kami before calling CloverPelt out. CloverPelt came bounding out, but when she saw that it was her sister's mentor she'd been called out to see, she frowned. "Where's Luxus," she questioned sadly.
"He was assigned a special mission. Your too young and untrained to go with him, so he asked me to train you both together," Kami answered.
IcePaw and CloverPelt flashed each other fanged smiles and Kami led them into the forest. Kami waited in a tree where nothing could detect him. "I want you both to go out together and bring back any animal kill of your choice," Kami commanded. The cats smiled, and gave Kami quick nods before bounding into the deep, dangerous forest. CloverPelt had decided she would try and catch a snake with her psychic abilities, and IcePaw wanted to try for anthing she could find in that same area as snakes. They ran ahead until CloverPelt stopped dead in her tracks and rushed up a tree. IcePaw stopped running and walked back. She looked up into the tree and called out for her sister but heard no reply.
"Sis?"
"Sis?"
"Sis!"
Next thing she knew a snake fell out of the tree. A Dusk Cobra, seeming to have been choked. But that make no sense! How does one choke a snake? IcePaw thought. Then her sister rushed out of the tree, nearly falling. "IcePaw! I got a snake! I got a snake all on my own," CloverPelt purred. IcePaw then asked, "How'd you even find a snake. Let alone kill it?" CloverPelt smiled. "The same way I'd nearly caught you," she said in a sing song voice. IcePaw laghed. She had used that clover stem! But now it was time for IcePaw to find her kill. CloverPelt had the stem grow and wrap around the snake, carrying it with her and they walked quietly, trying to spot something moving.
IcePaw noticed something in the bushes and her ice shards made themselves all on their own and shot into what ever moved in the bushes. "Well, that makes things easy," CloverPelt remarked, trying not to laugh. IcePaw went to the bush, and saw a rabbit. Her mentor had told her she'd catch more the mouse some day. The day was much closer then expected. After taking the snake to the elders, and the rabbit home. The other kits were feasting upon it. As they were enjoying it though, Coyote rushed in, a ground hog caught special for mommy.
5: Chapter Four:Falling Apart"IcePaw." a soothing voice said. IcePaw woke up and looked up at the Twicat. It was her mother, Enchant. "What is it mom?" IcePaw said with tired eyes and a drooping tail. "I have to go away, IcePaw. Tell the other kittens. I left you with your Father, DewDrop. Be good." IcePaw's ears pricked up and she stared as she left out the door. She got up to her paws and slowly walked over to the cloth entrance. She let out a short mew, "Mom. Mom. Why are you leaving?"
The others all woke up when the sun began to peak over the horizon. She looked back at a large sleeping male Twicat, her father perhaps? She walked over an sniffed him. He did smell a lot like mother, and the others now followed to sniff him. "Hey he smells like mom." CloverPelt whispered. The others all nodded. IcePaw poked him but he didn't wake up. Cyote then decided to lick his father to wake him up. The male cat growled and woke up.
"Hmm?" he said.
"Are you DewDrop? Our father?" IcePaw said.
A completely white kitten looked at IcePaw curiously. "How do you know dad's name, if we've never met him before?"
IcePaw looked at her, and rememered she had't met any of her other syblings! Well that can wait until they all get their trainers. She looked back at DewDrop, who seemed to be examining all the diffrent faces around him. He eventually chuckled and said, "So your the batch of kittens! How about introducing yourselves?" he said. They all looked at each other and then they looked over at IcePaw. IcePaw assumed they wondered if they should introduce themselves and IcePaw then said, "Once we all have our mentors." They all nodded and they went around cleaning, gathering any left over catches for him to eat, and the three with hunter's to train them all waited outside.
"Hey!" Kami yelled as he galloped over, DuskMoon by his side.
IcePaw and Cyote both gasped excitedly, but CloverPelt, seeing Luxus was not there, became quite sad.
"Hello DuskMoon!" Cyote yowled before IcePaw was able to say anything. He ran over to DuskMoon and they nuzzled before they ran off together.
Kami laughed as he walked over. "DuskMoon is excited since the training grounds have been reopened." Kami began. "See, before you guys came around, TwilightQueen was just a royal knight. Back then though, her name was TwilightTwinkle. TwilightTwinkle was adorable at that age, and she had caused an explosion trying to practice her psy-destruction abilities. So the place was closed down because how damaged it became."
The cats nodded, as if they knew what he was saying, then followed him to the training grounds.
"Today, before you go and catch food, I want you to start target practice."
They whined and went inside, to begin their training and the moment they were done both kitten blasted off into the forest, and back with fresh food.
6: Chapter Five: A Cruel Fate"IcePaw." a soothing voice said. IcePaw woke up and looked up at the Twicat. It was her mother, Enchant. "What is it mom?" IcePaw said with tired eyes and a drooping tail. "I have to go away, IcePaw. Tell the other kittens. I left you with your Father, DewDrop. Be good." 7: Chapter Six: a Kitten's IdeaThere was a gap in the time though. A point which not a single Twicat can tell of. We all assume life was normal! But there's a gap of about a week before the story can star up again. Not everything is super cool, so maybe the generations have just forgotten about it? But either way the story resumes on a rainy day.
"Hey CloverPelt," IcePaw called from outside the home.
CloverPelt came outside and sat next to her sister. "Yes?"
"Why does dad always tell us not to go too far deep into the forest," IcePaw mewed quietly.
CloverPelt looked over toward the path way in and out of the forest then answered with a hushed mew. "I've heard stories of Twicats not coming back out. Or dark and evil spirits who take the form of Twicat's with black eyes killing those who enter. Though I heard one about spirits who possess the cats that wander in and trust them."
IcePaw was interested now. "Tell me one of these stories," she said, her tail swishing back and forth.
CloverPelt smiled then looked up trying to remember one. "Well," she began, "there was one story about the spirits who possess those who are trusting in them. The legend goes that if you trust them your fur will change some and you will be given the power of a Paw. But it comes at the cost of letting them control you, while the real you lay deep within, soul trapped by what can be described as angels of darkness. Bunch of crap though, right sis?"
IcePaw nodded, but she now had an idea as to why Luxus hadn't returned from the forest. She would keep it to herself though, she didn't want to upset her sister. But she stared along the pathway, curious of what fate he might have fallen to. "Hey CloverPelt?" CloverPelt looked at IcePaw. "What want to hear another," CloverPelt questioned. IcePaw got up and walked to the door of the house and pushed it open just enough for her to peek inside. She saw all her syblings asleep, except MechSnow and Coyote. MechSnow appearded to be talking, and Coyote looked bored. But IcePaw decided to go inside. "Wait out here," she whispered as she walked in.
She looked around but didn't see her father, nor could she smell him. Perfect! She thought to herself. If he knew her plan, she'd be in serious trouble. After waiting a second she walked over to MechSnow. MechSnow was going on about how great her mentor is. She must have gotten a mentor earlier. IcePaw thought. She tapped MechSnow with her paw.
"Hey guys, I need you both for a mission," she whispered. "How much have you learned, MechSnow?"
MechSnow's eyes gleamed and she started going on and on about what she'd been taught already. Though after four minutes, IcePaw made ice form over her mouth to cut her off. MechSnow was surprized by the ice, haveing not been told about IcePaw's powers, and didn't try to talk but just stared at the ice.
"So, you need a medic Twi'. Does that mean this mission is dangerous," Coyote said in a sly tone.
IcePaw smiled at him and nodded. "So will you both come?"
Coyote looked excited and MechSnow was nodding quickly. "A dangerous mission is perfect," Coyote said in excitment.
They both trotted outside and CloverPelt looked over at them. "Where've you been? I've been out here for four minutes!"
"Sorry, CloverPelt," Coyote began, "but you know how much MechSnow can ramble.
IcePaw laughed a little before adding, "She may be worse then Kami!"
"So then, IcePaw, what do you need them for? What're we going to do," CloverPelt questioned.
"We're going to find your mentor. We're going deep as we can into that forest, and we're coming out heros!"
They all stared with wide eyes. But within seconds they all looked determined.
8: Chapter Seven: a Trek Though DangerThey padded into the forest, CloverPelt having the plants surrounding erase the traces that they had come into the forest. They walked for what felt like hours, seeing the same trees and same plants they were all used to. But they they came to a large crater. CloverPelt paid no attention, and ended up falling in it and yelping as she tumbled down into it. Her yelp caused them all to stop walking, and look down to notice the crater. "That's a big crater," Coyote whispered. MechSnow nearly jumped right in, but Coyote caught her tial in his mouth to stop her. IcePaw just stared into it. CloverPelt had her clover's stem grow and stretch and she quietly mewed "IcePaw, grab the stem and help." IcePaw nodded and a small ice pillar formed in front of her, allowing CloverPelt to use the stem to grab it and pull herself up. When CloverPelt was up there and her stem went to it's normal pose though, it was clear her ear was hurt. I bet that stem ended up squeezing her ear when she pulled herself up. IcePaw thought. Coyote looked over at her and pointed across the crater with his tail. IcePaw then looked across. "Make a bridge," she meowed in question. She looked back at Coyote, who nodded.
IcePaw took a deep breath and focused her power, makeing a bridge across the crater. Though it was obviously thin, so IcePaw walked across before they could mention anything. CloverPelt yelled, "Dude what're you doing?" Yeah I probably look stupid walking across a bridge this thin. But when she reached the other side she meowed, "It'll be fine if you walk across one at a time." CloverPelt took a single step toward the bridge before MechSnow darted across the bridge herself. CloverPelt was about to walk over to the bridge, but then Coyote beat her to it. When Coyote got to the other side, he looked back, taunting her "Hey slow poke get over here!"
She clawed into the ground then dashed across the bridge,it breaking as she stepped onto the other side. Well bridge making goes out the window. IcePaw thought. What would she use such power for anyway? Battle? It was a thought, but she'd rather be a hunter. Though a heat wave would make it harder.
She was shook from her thoughts by the sound of CloverPelt and Coyote racing ahead and kicking up dust. She raced after them, MechSnow behind, though she continued her thoughts about what she'd do. I wonder if I'll live longer too. Living longer sounded nice in her mind. Though besides violence what could this power be used for? Should I maybe try and become a War-cat? But there was no real war so it'd be a useless job. She wouldn't get payed for just being a stay-at-home-mom. Though she really should. Now though, it was IcePaw's turn to fall. But instead of falling, she looked up to see her syblings gone except CloverPelt.
"Where'd they go?"
CloverPelt looked back at her then mewed, "oh we went on diffrent paths. MehSnow went with Coyote and your with me."
Well look at what you see. They just assume I was listening. Powerful TwiCat who controls ice is always listening and not concerned about her place in the world. IcePaw thought. Then she just returned to her daydreams.
Next thing she knows she bumped into a tree, CloverPelt no where in sight. She looked around, and knew this would be a long night.
IcePaw continued through the forest, constantly reassuring herself that she has some sort of mystic power, and she can defend herself. Though at some point, she came to a river. A rapid and fast river, current having waves slam into rocks. She wasn't happy to see it was about six body lengths wide. She cringed at the thought of trying to make a bridge over this and it breaking. Though she heard a scream. It sounded like an older male..Luxus! IcePaw thought. Please don't tell me those stories are true.
She had to do something, but what? She stared at the rocks, maybe she could form ice platforms ontop of them? No, that wouldn't work. My powers arin't near strong enough to form ice that would last with all the water beating down on it. She thought. She heard a scream that sounded much more feminine. CloverPelt? Her theory of it being her sister, though resounded in her mind as she tried to think of a way across this. She looked from end to end, but this long river couldn't have any convinces. This wasn't a fairytale or children's play where the hero always lived. This was real.
She had to decide quickly. She looked to her left, where there seemed to be more rocks. No way am I jumping across those. But I might find more just down that way! She dashed off and after what felt like hours of pointless running, she came to a more crossable bunch of rocks. She looked up at the sky. It was Luner high. She didn't have alot of time before the night owls in the kingdom-like home awoke from their small naps. She looked at the rocks, and she thought she heard TwilightQueen, reassuring her, "You're strong..you'll be fine.." She went hopping across them, a powerful wind with small shards of ice blowing around her. The wind was powerful enough to keep the water from slamming her into rocks. She smiled, the old queen may be sick, but she isn't so sick she can't lend some of her power!
When she was at the other side, she looked up. Out of breath from the fear and exhaustion, she stared triumphantly. Made it! She screamed mentally. She closed her eyes and whispered aloud, "Thank you, TwilightQueen." She opened her eyes again and opened her mouth a little. She had hoped the wind might carry over the scent of her syblings but all she could smell was the water and rocks. She picked up the smell of plants, but it was much too faint to tell apart if it might be CloverPelt's clover and necklace.
She did hear another scream. It was Luxus again. Screaming twice, oh brave knight? She thought, mocking him almost. She followed the sound, but when she had come to a strange cat. It had black eyes that leaked white smoke, and..
His..Paws are..
His paws were as black as his eyes, his markings though seemed like those of a normal cat. She reeled back in horror. "What is that?" she hissed. "Is it a demon? A spirit?" The cat looked at her, and she got a better look at his face. He had scratches deep enough to bring a slow drip of blood from them. "I'm a TwiCat," he screamed. IcePaw stared at his face, but then her eyes slowly made their way down to his strange paws. They're black, how can that be?
"I'm BlackSmoke," he said, trying to sound calm. Though it was obvious that as his cuts didn't seem severe, he was in much pain.
"I'm IcePaw," she said back, still amazed.
"Why are you labeling me with such names?"
IcePaw looked surprized. What did you grow up in this darned forest?
He stared for a second, then when she had failed to respond long enough he meowed, "Don't all cats look like me?"
IcePaw opened her mouth to answer, but there was a russle in the bushes. Fearing another strange cat or spirit she looked over adn then quickly back to BlackSmoke. But when she looked back BlackSmoke was gone without a trace.
Soon after she returned home a much safer route, with Luxus. Luxus said he had been chased by spirits of the forest but no one believed him. Except IcePaw. Luxus, did come back with herbs, ad he passed these on to healers whom would try and cure TwilightQueen. Though at the moment, Luxus return and the Queen's possible improvement in health weren't the first things on her mind.
9: Chapter Nine: Dark TruthIcePaw was awaiting news about TwilightQueen's condition. She would always ask but for a four weeks, she got nothing but TwiCats trying to change the subject. Though after four weeks she finally got some hint as to her condition as she past the Luner Rock. Up atop the Luner Rock she saw TwilightQueen. To see hide and tail of TwilightQueen was something very reassuring. From the way she looked she was just fine, healthy as ever.Maybe I should pay TwilightQueen a visit tomorrow. She thought to herself.
As the day went on, IcePaw was anxious. She wanted to see TwilightQueen before the day was over, and she wanted to know why she was standing up on the Luner Rock. It was Luna Low when IcePaw decided that she'd finally just go see her. IcePaw stormed off to TwiligtQueen's home and bursted inside. Unlike most would think, the queen didn't live in a TwiCat palace, but instead went there to do her job and go home. TwilightQueen herself didn't even care too much for the palace of sorts!
IcePaw went inside her home and cried out, "TwilightQueen, are you home?" But she got no reply. Maybe she's just asleep, IcePaw thought. She looked all around, trying to too look through her stuff or touch anything she shouldn't, but hadn't found her any where. She came back to the door just as TwilightQueen came home. "TwilghtQueen," IcePaw questioned. TwilightQueen was shocked to see the kitten inside her home, though she tried to hide it.
"What are you doing in my home," TwilightQueen calmly asked.
IcePaw stared, then bowed like one would do while she was in the palace. "TwilightQueen, I wanted an audience with you.." she began, "i was going to wait until morning, but I just couldn't."
TwilightQueen sighed and responded by haveing her sit down on a rug inside. She walked around her home, seeming to prepare some sort of drinks, before turning her head to IcePaw. "IcePaw, dearest, could you make some sort of ice slide I could use to get your drink to you?" IcePaw didn't know she'd be getting anything to drink. After all, IcePaw did basically break into her home. But IcePaw used her powers to make a small slide, and TwilightQueen set her drink on it before letting it slide to IcePaw.
"I thought you were a psychic Twi', your highness," IcePaw said.
TwilightQueen chuckled and explained that just because their psychic doesn't mean they can do levitation, even though it is a common ability among the TwiPsychics. But then she sat in front of IcePaw. "IcePaw, the herbs found in the forest didn't cure me."
IcePaw reeled back in surprise before yowling, "But your so healthy!"
TwilightQueen nodded. "Every sign of my sickness is hidden by psychic healers abilities, but the sickness is slowly killing me. WarPaint seems to think that I'll be dead within a month."
"Wow that's slow," IcePaw mumbled.
TwilightQueen looked away and sighed. IcePaw then rememered how dire the situation was. IcePaw then asked who was heir to the throne. She may have no children, but someone is already picked right? Maybe it's WarPaint! He seems pretty qualified. Though after she had thought this she realized that WarPaint was much too cruel to serve as a King.
TwilightQueen looked down and said, "I don't know yet."
After this there were paw steps heard and TwilightQueen sent off IcePaw for what ever reason. IcePaw was bothered by the fact that there was no one to take her place, but she had faith in TwilightQueen! She'll find someone, hopefully.
