Katherine Garcia and her family get an offer to move to a private island to live among the giant neighborhood. In return, they are participating in some living experiment. Hex Academy, the only school on the island, is difficult to get into. When Katherine goes to try out, she gets the strangest gift for passing. A hex driver. But when she finds out about the secrets hidden by the organization that owns the island, her life is thrown down a dark path.
