In the land of Dremeadow, the joyous occasion of the royal family's Pre-New Years Banquet ends in death and bloodshed. A paladin named Kiran Mani, visiting Dremeadow as an emissary from Cancalia, is compelled to flee when wrongfully accused of a terrible deed. He must also safeguard dozens of refugees who were displaced from their homes for the crime of defending his innocence- one of which is the youngest son of Dremeadow's king.
