The night was dark and the air was crisp and the streetlights flickered in the light of the crescent moon. A tall women in her mid-thirties walked across the street her eyes shielded by her coat and a briefcase in her right hand while her other hand hid an object from site. She quickly surveyed the street before walking down the sidewalk her gaze on the black car that just pulled up to the street. 

Her dark red hair was blowing in the chilly night air as she reached the vehicle's passenger side. She opened the door quickly and set the case inside her sharp green eyes catching the eyes of the other occupant in the car. 

"Is it done?" The man asked driving the vehicle his gaze flickering down to the case on the seat. 

The woman nodded pulling out a knife that was crimson with blood. "He's gone baby." She answered looking at the man in front of him lovingly. The man nodded grabbing a cloth and wiping the knife off. 

"You made sure that there is no way they can link it to you. You were his wife and the cops will probably look into you first." He answered his eyes calculating. 

She shook her head as a yes a soft smile on her face, "All of his money is left for me and I made sure that there was no evidence against me." She looked up quickly when she thought she heard a noise her eyes looked around the street but she saw nothing. 

"You better go before the cops show up us I'll see you soon," The man stated shutting the door as the woman moved out of the way. The woman now empty handed watched as he drove away before turning around and heading back the way she came. 

She started to cross the street again when a figure pulled up behind her smashing her against the head with a glass bottle. The creature let out a satisfied growl and grabbed her limp body.....

(Joeys POV) Friday 10:32 p.m.

My name is Johnston Virtuous but everyone just calls me Joey. I am 16 and I live with my Grandma in town. My Dad died in a car crash when I was younger and I never knew my mom. I have a job at the local Grocery store working the till. 

Anyway I was currently walking home from work at around 10 at night. I was wearing my favourite hoodie that was a baby blue colour and had my name written across it with a shiny silver colour my Grandma did that for me. She can't do that any more because of an accident that left her partially blind so she's not even aloud to leave the house anymore. It's really too bad me and my Grandma got together well but now its like she doesn't even see me.

I turned down the alleyway that was a shortcut to mine and my Grandmas house. I passed by a dumpster reading the graffiti on the walls as I walked. My breath billowing in front of me making small air puffs in the cold air. I finally reached the end of the alley and I stepped out noticing a women walking across the street she looked nervous. All of a sudden something zoomed up beside her and knocked her out with a bottle. I let out a gasp and stepped back the creature looking up at me it's eyes crimson red and its teeth sharpened. I just stared back petrified in fear.

It was wearing a black leather jacket that almost reached down to his knees. He also wore black pants and a black cap covered the front of his face but failed cover his blood red eyes. A police siren sounded form close by and the creature lunged at me pulling me into the alley. Two squad cars zoomed past braking quickly next to the woman the police officers jumping out quickly and racing to the woman.

He smashed me against the wall and covered my mouth with his hands when I went to scream. The pain hurt from the impact and i started to panic. A muffled yelp came out and he snarled at me using his body to hide me against the wall. "Don't move or speak or I will kill you." He ordered as a police officer walked near the entrance. I was frozen I couldn't move as the creature watched me for a second its scarlet eyes gleaming in the darkness with an unrecognizable emotion. The creature finally removed its gaze on me and turned and watched the officer that was shining a light down the alley. The light from the officers flashlight transferred around the alleyway before he turned away the light leaving.

The creature then turned towards me and pushed me off the wall pulling me deeper into the alley. I blindly followed scared of what he would do to me if i didn't cooperate. We reached the other side when he started walking towards a Black SUV he pushed me into the passenger side of it before running to the other side of it and hopping in as well. He started it up quickly and pulled out into the road driving away. I turned and looked out at the road scared of what was going to happen to me I felt his hand touch my shoulder and I turned around quickly. He put a cloth up to my face covering my mouth and nose I breathed in the substance on it in surprise struggling against him before I collapsed against the seat the energy leaving my body as I closed my eyes.
