DIFFERENCES BETWEEN SCREENPLAY/NOVELIZATION.

The screenplay version of Season 3, will play out the Novelization of Season 2. The Screenplay will have a total of 18 episodes, like the Novelization. 

CAST/ CHARACTER DIFFERENCES.

In the Screenplay, the characters, Bethany, Carla, Charlotte, Dominic and Deloris, make appearances in Season 3. 
In the Novel of Season 2, neither of these characters appeared. Although, Bethany and Carla were briefly mentioned in a conversation between Harry and Tina. 

The cast from the previous SCREENPLAY SEASON - SECOND SEASON - will remain the same. 
SONDRA LOCKE will be introduced as Sylvia Mckenzie/Wilson, like she did in the Novel.  As will MICHAEL J FOX, who will also be introduced in the Screenplay, as Christopher Benedict Mckenzie Wilson. 

SCREENPLAY - Al Pacino play's Mafia criminal Romano Crocetti. Joe Pesci portray's Carlo's Del Reddi.

NOVEL - Second Season Al Pacino played Carlo's Del Reddi. Joe Pesci didn't appear as any character. 

SPOILERS / PLOT CHANGE

SCREENPLAY - Bethany commits Arson and causes the accidental death of James King, due to a jealous rage as a way of punishing Dominic, as he rejected her.

NOVEL - In the Eighth and Final Season, it's revealed Bethany was hired by Dominic to burn the King's house down for the insurance, unaware James was home. 

In both, Charlotte thought she was responsible due to neglect.

2: After Shot.

EXT. MANHATTAN NEW YORK

EXT. NIGHT
Clear night. 

EXT. JEFF WILSON APARTMENT. 
Partial light seen  the outside of his Living Room window. 

THE CAMERA PANS TOWARDS HIS THIRD FLOOR APARTMENT. 

INT. LEVEL THREE HALLWAY. 
A dark corridor, with Jeff Wilson's apartment door wide open. There is absolute silence. 

THE CAMERA PANS DOWNWARD

INT. JEFF WILSON
Jeff lay unconscious on the floor -motionless. He is bloodied from his gut, as he has suffered two gun shot wounds. Gunned down by an unkown assailant, who has gone to Jeff's apartment with intent to kill the Police Lieutenant. The suspect has quickly left the building and Jeff's life in peril. Jeff has recently made so many enemies. 

A door is heard opening. 

EXT. TOBEY DRISCOLL
Jeff's neighbour, wearing a vest and holding grasping a beer in his right hand. He appears to be drunk and annoyed. He's heard the two gunshots fired and he stumbles into the Hallway. He grunts as he staggers around. 

TOBEY
What in God names was that?

Toby stops momentarily, fatigued intoxicated . His are eyes bulging. He looks down and sees Jeff, laying on the ground, with his Hallway light, shining onto his unresponsive body. It takes a few seconds for Tobey to react to the discovery. His eyes widen in shock, as he stumbles a few inches backwards. 

TOBEY
Holy Fucking shit. 
Stella!

Tobey calls out to his wife. Stella his wife is heard in annoyance to his call out. 

STELLA
What are you heckling about this time?
(O.S.)

TOBEY
I found a body!

STELLA
I wish it was somebody finding your body!
(O.S.)

Tobey is anxious and seething at the same time. 

TOBEY
Come out here and see for yourself. I think he's dead!

Footsteps are heard loudly thumping along the floor. 

INT. STELLA DRISCOLL
A disgruntled middle -aged woman appears, with curlers in her hair and a cigarette in her right hand. She marches up to her husband not amused. 

STELLA
What hallucinations are you seeing this time? 

Tobey points to Jeff. 

TOBEY
Him. 

Stella looks down and sees Jeff still unconscious on the floor. Stella is so shocked, she lets out a piercing scream. Tobey jolts with fright, at his spouses outburst. He then starts to get angry with her. 

TOBEY
You dumb Broad. That's Jeff Wilson. The Cop next door. Get an Ambulance. 

Stella rushes back into the apartment to phone for the Emergency Services. 

THE CAMERA GETS A QUICK CLOSE UP OF A WOUNDED JEFF. 

EXT. SYRACUSE. UPSTATE NEW YORK. DARKNESS. 
A single Highway. Headlights are seen getting closer from a distance. It appears to be a Car. 

EXT. RED ACURA LEGEND COUPE. 
Carla Morrisons Car, is speeding down the road at what looks like high speed and doesn't seem to be slowing down. 

INT. BETHANY MORRISON. 
Sat in the passenger seat. She is pale, teary eyed and fearful. 

INT. CARLA MORRISON. 
Bethany's elder sister, grasping the steering wheel in Dire Straits. Speeding away from the scene of a heinous crime scene. 

Bethany has not only committed arson, but has also committed Manslaughter, as James King died in the Gas explosion at the King's home. Her actions at attempt of revenge on Dominic, have gone up in smoke - literally. Carla glances back and forth at her youngest sibling, while trying to concentrate on the road and mostly of all, trying to comprehend her sisters actions. Bethany continues to sob. Tears profusely streaming down her face. 

EXT. KING'S RESIDENCE. 
Flames are are billowing. The King's home is gone. Obliterated. Nothing left. 

EXT. FIRE CREWS. 
The Emergency Services are seen relentlessly gush gallons of water onto the raging inferno. It's absolute chaos. 

EXT. CHARLOTTE KING. 
The injured Thirty Five year old , partially injured mother of two, who was thrown back by the explosion, screams her heart out for her loving Eight Year Old son  James, who has  perished away in bizarre and terrible circumstances. He is a tragic victim, caught up in a crime of passion. 

CHARLOTTE
JAMES!! JAMES!!
MY BABY!! OH MY GOD!! MY BABY!!

EXT. DELORIS KING 
Charlotte and Dominic's Fourteen Year Old Daughter, also injured from the blast, with a cut to the forehead, desperatley grasps and pulls on her mother, to get her away from the remains of their home which is now ablaze. The teenager is terrified and in tatters. She's lost to her brother in a revenge attack, gone wrong. Deloris makes desperate pleas to her mother. 

DELORIS
Mom, please. Please don't. Please no. 

EXT. POLICE CARS. 
Law enforcers race into the Suburban street and surround the house. 

Neighbours appear from their homes and witness, an horrific scene. It's mayhem. They rush into the street and are horrified by the commotion and carnage.  Charlotte drops to her knees, on the front lawn, heartbroken. Deloris clinging onto her mother, falling to the ground with her. 

EXT. DOMINIC KING. 
The thirty five year old Husband of Charlotte and father of Deloris and now deceased James appears from behind the Police cars. He stands frozen in shock, at what's left of his home. There is absolutely nothing left, as his home is burning away, while Fire crews attempt to extinguish the flames, caused by the woman, he had a one night stand with and regrets. He spots Charlotte on the front lawn, sobbing, with Deloris holding her tightly in her arms Dominic then hears Charlotte crying. 

CHARLOTTE
James. James. My baby boy. 

Dominic suddenly, has a dreaded realization when he hears his distraught wife's crying out. He shudders at the thought of his worst fears. He stares up at the fire, that's not only just taken his families home, but his beloved son. Dominic quickly paces himself over to Charlotte and Deloris. Charlotte looks around and spots her father, who walks onto the lawn. Deloris cries out to him, as she continues to prevent her mother, going towards the fire. 

DELORIS
Daddy. 

EXT. POLICE OFFICER
Attempts to intercept a shocked Dominic. 

POLICE OFFICER
Sir, you can't come up here. 

Dominic ignores the Police officer, as he stares up at destruction. Onlookers are in total dismay. Dominic looks down at his grieving wife, who profusely pours her heart out. He then looks to his panic stricken daughter. However, there is no sign of James. 

DOMINIC
James? He's not...? 
(pointing towards the house)

Neither Charlotte or Deloris can acknowledge Dominic, due to overwhelmed the pain they've suffered. Mentally, more than physically. Charlotte again cries out and starts to hyperventilate. But, with guilt. 

CHARLOTTE
It's all my fault. I shouldn't have left him alone. I shouldn't...Oh Lord forgive me. 

Suddenly, Charlotte passes out in shock and the trauma is too much for Deloris. It then, hits home for Dominic. His son - James - is dead. Dominic freezes and tears fall down his face and stares back at his home. The home his son died in. He falls to his knees in tatters and cries out. 

DOMINIC 
Oh my God no, James...
NOOOOOO!!!

THE CAMERA PANS ABOVE THE SUBURBAN CUL DE SAC AND WHAT WAS ONCE THE KINGS HOME, WHICH BURNS, AS FIRE FIGHTERS BATTLE THE BLAZE. ONLOOKERS GATHER IN THE NEIGHBOURHOOD, AS DO POLICE VEHICLES AND AMBULANCES.
