It stood there, without a form, nothing but voices and threats. The world was not burning but Wielderheisen's head was, sending him crashing to the ground. He tried to pan the imaginary flames away but they continued to burn, prickling his skin in pain. The monstrosity compared itself to a god, but it was nothing but a fiend. It invaded his quarters and silenced his tongue, completely at its mercy. He knew of these creatures; known colloquially as Gotihskn, they passed through the air as mere atoms before they collected under a hivemind. They were well documented by the scholers and warriors who encountered them on the battlefield.
Until that very moment, not a single Gotihskn had managed to pierce the city walls, let along the palace erected in the center of such a city. No, this particular monster hadn't encountered him by chance. It was a deliberate attempt to silence him.

Its voice tore through his skull, obstructing his thoughts. Wielderheisen flailed aimlessly on the ground, the flames intensifying with every second, coursing through his veins and pumping through his mortal heart. He knew it was all sensory manipulation, but man was tied to his senses, so it mattered not. He could feel its presence now, the atoms coasting slowly through his own body, combining and stroking his arm in a semi-solidified state. He knew his time had come, the scientist only hoped that the same would not be said for the rest of his kinsmen...
