Lastly have a great day :) Chapter 1: Jayson's Suffering A high ranking military officer sits at his desk reading some papers as Jayson stands in front with his arms behind his back. "So, sergeant Jayson Derek. Hm, from looking at this report all of your previous missions were a complete success. Not to mention you've been doing these missions back to back. Tell me Jayson what drives you?" said Haywert in a amused manner. "Sir, I just do what's needed for the sake of our country." Said Jayson nonchalantly. Haywert smiles in respect of Jayson's words. "Hm, if we had more soldiers like you maybe we could have won the third world war much easier." Haywert gets up from his desk and looks out a window with a look of concern. "The war may be over but the fight isn't. I fear our country isn't safe just yet." Said Haywert. "Sir, what concerns you?" said Jayson as Haywert turns towards him and goes back to his desk. "Jayson you are one of my best soldiers and most trusted men. I need a favor from you. I need you to go on a top secret mission. This mission will be difficult it would be considered a suicide mission but, I believe only you have the skill to do it." Said Haywert in a desperate tone. "What exactly do you want me to do?" Asked Jayson. "I need you to infiltrate a military base in the middle east and get some documents for me. Those documents are very important to national security. When you get the documents do not read them. Just give them to me they are top secret." Said Haywert in a serious tone. "Does the president know about this mission general?" Said Jayson. "No, he doesn't. I fear it will be too late by the time we get the presidents consent. Jayson you must tell no one about this mission and you cannot tell your allies that you'll be with that the mission their on is a suicide." Said Haywert. "I won't be doing this alone?" Said Jayson in confusion. "No. Lieutenant!" Shouted Haywert as his Lieutenant opens the door. "Yes sir." Responded the Lieutenant. "Bring them in." Said Haywert. The Lieutenant closes the door and then the door opens again as 5 soldiers come in and salute Jayson and the general as they salute back. "All of you will have to gear up as soon as this briefing is over. You'll be going out on this top secret mission today. Sergeant Jayson will be in charge of this mission and brief you on the way. I need to ask all of you including you Jayson. Are you willing to accept this mission for the sake of this country?" Asked Haywert as they all salute and respond "yes sir!." "Dismissed." Said Haywert. All 5 soldiers including Jaysons are geared up and board a chopper that takes off. "Listen up guys and...girl. This mission will be a success and everyone will get out alive if you follow my orders okay. We have to infiltrate a foreign military base to retrieve important top secret documents that threaten national security. Now who's the sniper and spotter?" Asked Jayson. "I'm Brian, the sniper and my twin brother Mike's the spotter" Said Brian who had brown eyes and dirty blonde hair. "Okay...keep that sniper rifle close Brian or I won't be able to tell you two apart." Said Jayson jokingly as Brian laughs. "Yes sir." Replied Brian as Jayson pulls out a map and gives orders and positions to everyone. "You and your brother will cover us as well as our escape point here on high ground where our helicopter will drop us off. The rest of you will be with me. What are your names?" Asked Jayson. "Bobby." Said a tall bail man with blue eyes. "Roy." Said a black man with a Mohawk and goatee and brown eyes. "Julia." Said a beautiful woman with short white hair up to her shoulders and blue eyes. The helicopter gets to its position beside a cliff near the Military base. It's a cold night and dusty from the desert environment. It's a full moon with soldiers patrolling the base as search lights moving around it. "Okay, stay on me." Ordered Jayson in a low tone as the brothers take their sniping positions as the rest follow Jayson through a sewer and climb up through a pothole in the base. Jayson orders them to group together. The team stays in a serious cautious state. Keeping a look out for enemies. They move through the shadows past soldiers keeping their heads low and staying quiet. An enemy soldier see's them but Jayson shoots him in the head swiftly with his silenced assault rifle and they continue to move. "Okay we're gonna do this quickly and get out of here. We need to find headquarters. The documents will be there. Follow me." Said Jayson as he goes to a door with 4 soldiers guarding it. Jayson speaks to everyone through an ear piece. "Brian take two of 'em out. Roy once that happens I want you to disarm one while you get the other Bobby and hold him up. Make sure you're watching my back Julia." Said Jayson as he gives Brian the signal and he sniped two soldiers down. The remaining two guards tried to get their radios in shock and confusion to try and alert the base but Bobby and Roy grabbed them and had a knife to their necks. "Where's your headquarters?" Jayson Demanded. "I'm not telling you shit!" said the soldier as Roy slices his throat killing him. Jayson speaks to the other soldier who's scared for his life trembling in fear of Jayson's intimidating presence. "I know you have loved ones expecting you home. Would you rather go home alive or in a casket like this one?" Said Jayson in a cold heartless tone as the soldier stutters in fear. "Through these doors on the top floor." Said the soldier shaking in fear. Bobby snaps his neck killing him. "Let's go." Said Jayson. They got to the top floor to a door with two guards. Julia and Bobby shot them killing them as Roy kicked down the door and gunned down the soldiers inside leaving a superior officer alive. Jayson points his gun at him. "Where's the documents!?" Jayson Demanded. "Hmph, Haywert must have sent you." Said the military officer with a grin on his face. A soldier comes out of hiding behind Jayson but Julia shoots him before he can pull the trigger. Jayson nods his head in appreciation to Julia. "How do you know him and how'd you know he sent us?" Asked Jayson as the military officer laughs. "The documents are in my drawer. Read them and you'll find out." Said the military opens the drawer as it triggers a explosive killing him. Jayson shoots the military officer multiple times. He searches the officer and finds something in his back pocket. "That explosion alerted a lot of soldiers they're coming to you guys get out of there!" Said Mike through the ear piece. Jayson takes Bobby's dog tags. "We have to leave him." Said Jayson. They get to the first floor to be encountered by some soldiers shooting at them. Roy throws a grenade killing some of them. As they run through the exit they gun down some soldiers as Brian covers them, snipping soldiers down. They get into the sewers running to the escape point. Brian speaks to Jayson in a desperate tone. He can be heard wincing in sadness. "Sergeant, really bad news the chopper was shot down. You have to meet at coordinates 7A in the forest. You have to hold out for 35 minutes till the next evac comes." "Brian get to the sewers!" Shouted Jayson desperately as Brian can be heard crying. "They snuck up on us. I killed them but my brother was shot. I can't just leave him here." Said Brian. "Is Mike alive, is he breathing!?" Asked Jayson. " ...No." Said Jayson as he heard gunshots in the ear piece. "Brian respond!" Said Jayson. "We have to go back for them." Julia plead. "No they're dead. There's nothing we can do." Said Roy. "He's right we have to keep moving. If we don't get to the chopper in time they'll assume we're dead and there won't be a next evac. Wait, where's the documents?" Asked Jayson patting his clothes in confusion searching for them. Roy pulls then out. "You mean these?" Said Roy as he prepares to open them. Jayson points his gun at him. "Do not open those documents Roy." Said Jayson in a serious tone. "What, you gonna shoot me now? You can do that right, because I'm expendable?" Said Roy. "I don't want to, but I will." Replied Jayson. "Nows not the time, stop this!" Said Julia as Roy grit his teeth in anger. "No now is the time! Three of our comrades died for this shit! I want to know what they died for, I want to know what I'm risking my life for! You better tell me something right now or you're gonna have to shoot me! I'm not just some brainless soldier like you!" Said Roy. "The only thing I know is that we are suppose to retrieve these documents because it threatens national security and the president doesn't know about this, also this is considered a suicide mission." Said Jayson. "What!?" Muttered Julia in confusion. "I should have known something was wrong with this shit!" Said Roy as he is shot in the leg as Jayson drags him to cover while Julia provides cover fire. "You gotta get to that chopper before its too late. I'll hold them off." Said Roy as he gives Jayson the documents. "I'm not leaving I'm going to take you with me. I told you I would get everyone out of this alive." Said Jayson. "[Sarcasm] You did a great job at that. Listen let's be realistic, if you carried me around I would only get everyone killed. Just go...GO!" Said Roy. Jayson and Julia leave the sewers and go down a mountain. The soldiers find Roy on the ground holding a grenade as the soldiers look in fear. Roy with a grin on his face utters a few last words Humorously. "This is some bullshit." The grenade explodes killing them all. Jayson and Julia walk down a pathway on the side of the mountain. "What are you doing in the army? Girls like yourself you don't see too often doing this stuff." Said Jayson. "My father is a high ranking officer in the army, general Haywert." Said Julia as Jayson's eyes widen in shock. "He's your father!? That bastard sent his own daughter on a suicide mission!?" Said Jayson in anger. "I owe him my life. He adopted me during the war when he found me in a war zone. He was suppose to kill me that day but he didn't. I just want to make him proud. I wanted to show him I could be much more than just a pretty face and a housewife." Said Julia looking down in sadness. "When this mission is over I'm gonna have a few words with general." Said Jayson with a look of anger. "No, please don't. I don't want anything to ever happen to my father. If something did happen I couldn't forgive myself." Julia plead. "How can you call him a father!?" Shouted Jayson in frustration. Julia trips over a wire that triggers a bomb. The dust clears from the explosion. Jayson is holding Julia with one arm while she's hanging off the side of the mountain. Jayson's eye is closed as blood drips from it onto Julia's face. Two soldiers come but Jayson shoots them with his handgun. "Jayson, you have to let me go." Said Julia Crying. "I'm not letting you go!" Said Jayson shedding a tear. "Jayson, I don't want us all to die in vain. You have to complete the mission. Jayson you have a gun wound if you continue to try and lift me up you'll bleed out." Said Julia as she grabs Jayson's finger and breaks it as Jayson's grip starts to loosen. "You saved my life today let me save yours. Please don't do this." Jayson pleads as Julia smiles. "Goodbye, Jayson." Said Julia as she slips out of his hands and Jayson watches her fall to her death. In the forest the helicopters about to leave until they notice Jayson holding his side where he was shot and slowly walks to the chopper. Two soldiers help him on as it takes off. Jayson sits down looking at the sun rise and then looks at the documents. He hears flashbacks of voices in his head of Roy. "I want to know what they died for, what I'm risking my life for!?" The pilot looks back at Jayson. "I thought we were picking up 6 what happened to the others?" Said the pilot. Jayson opens the documents and reads them. Jayson is patched up with a bandage covering the scar on his eye walking in Haywert's office. "Ah, Jayson. You were successful in the mission as always I have to thank you." Said Haywert in a delighting manner. "It was all a lie." muttered Jayson as Haywert laughs. "What are you talking about?" Asked Haywert. "I read the documents. These documents are proof of you selling info to the enemy. You're a traitor and worst of all you told us we were doing something for the country. But 5 of my comrades died to cover up for a traitor." Said Jayson. "Why'd you give these documents to me then instead of turning me in?" Said Haywert. Jayson walks up to Haywert and he pulls out a gun and tries to shoot Jayson. Jayson shot the gun out of his hand with a silenced pistol and picks his gun up. The Lieutenant walks in and Jayson shoots him in the head with Haywert's gun. Then shoots Haywert in both of his legs and takes the documents. He then looks Haywert in the eyes with an intimidating look. "Listen to me. You found out the Lieutenant was a spy, he shot you in both legs and tried to get information out of you. You took your gun out and shot him. Do you understand? [General nods head in agreement] Keep your position for the price of your legs and if you fall out of line these documents won't be the only thing to come back and haunt you." Said Jayson walking away. "Why are you sparring me?" Said Haywert wincing. "You should thank your daughter for that." Said Jayson walking out. Julia walks in the room with a man in all black and a black hard skull mask covering his face behind her from the shadows. "Julia, but how? Wait who are you?" Said Haywert in shock. "Goodbye father." Said Julia. The mysterious man takes his glove off and touches his forehead. "Your soul is mine." Said ?. Haywert's eyes become lifeless and he dies. "These souls shall make a nice addition." Said ? as he laughs and disappears in the shadows. 3 days later and 1 week before the crazed human incident. Jayson walks through a graveyard with flowers at many tombstones. Many thoughts are passing through his mind. He stops at one tombstone and salutes it. "I was a fool. I overestimated my abilities and you payed the price. [cries] I'm sorry." Said Jayson. On the tombstones are the 4 that died on that mission and the tombstone in front of him is Julia.
