Full Summary: Marcy Davis was just another human. She was a cheerleader at her high school, she had a football player as a boyfriend and she had good grades. To everyone around her, she seemed like just another stuck-up popular girl. But she was different and what made her so was that she was kind and caring. Although, her parents were close to a divorce and she acted like another mother to her two youngest siblings. It had started out as just another day. Another day of attending boring classes and of cheer-leading and of being around friends. But what changed everything for her was her boyfriend suddenly running off with another girl with no explanation and her father coming home sober for the first time in years. It was also the same day that Hunters came to her home and shot down two of her family members, kidnapping the rest. Marcy Davis was just another human. But now she had Hunters and creatures heard of only in myths and horror stories coming after her. Some were even calling her a Protector - a guardian of human beings. Legends told that Protectors aid the Hunters in killing off all the non-humans. But Marcy has a different perspective. So whose side will she choose?
