Jex is nothing more than a slave in the Empire of Xola, sent there as a young boy for work. He knows nothing of who he was meant to be, nor who he could have been, only who he is. Soon, however, he forms a close bond with the kind hearted Princess Cherina, and since then everything has seemed better. But there are darker days ahead and when Jex is sent on a dangerous quest by the Emperor himself he has little chance of survival.
