Maddie Horton's Bio

I've been writing since I was a little girl, but only recently have I discovered a true appreciation for what an author has to go through when in the process of writing. Whether it be a short story, novella, or a full blown novel, writing transport the writer to another world with creations of his or her own mind. Many times, I have found myself daydreaming about a world that only exists in the deep chasms of my somewhat bizarre mind and silently musing with characters that almost jump off of the pages of my own stories. Strange as it may be, creation can create an air of madness at times.

Anyways, my favorite book...hmm, that's hard to say, actually. One of the best books I have ever read is "Something Wicked This Way Comes" written by Ray Bradbury. It demonstrates a real battle between good and evil, while questioning the morality of humanity all the while. Brilliant.

I also love to curl up late at night and open up a macabre Stephen King novel. The images of terror he creates not only send chills tingling up my spine, but also fascinate in a beautiful yet somewhat grotesque way.

I always love to read something new only to find that it has become one of my new centers of fascination.

I've always thought that music inspires people in a very unique way, especially when it comes to writing. Here are some of my favorite songs and artists:

Danse Macabre

Symphonie Fantastique for Orchestra

Adagio For Strings

Anything by Tchaikovsky

Do you hear the people Sing?

Castle on a Cloud

I Dreamed a Dream

Think of Me

Music of the Night

Love Never Dies

There are a lot more, but that pretty must sums up my all time favorites.

Now for some fun stuff!

Have you ever bit part of your lip off then ate it? You basically just ate yourself.

i bet our entire universe is just

in a tiny glass jar placed neatly on a shelf in an alien child's room as a science project he got a C- on

imagine

reading a book of every conversation where people have spoken about you.

*teacher calls name on roll* normal people:Here! me: *has been preparing for this moment for the last ten minutes*

*sends email* normal people: logs out. me: immediately goes to sent items and reads it again.

*arrives early to event* normal people: Sorry I'm a little early! me: *waits in car until it's deemed socially acceptable to arrive*

*somebody was mean to me* normal people: argues, then forgets it. me: spends the next six years winning arguments against them in the shower

*remembers embarassing moment from years ago* normal people: *laughs* me: cringes and obsesses over what could have been done differently.

I WAS HUNGRY SO I BOUGHT SOME ANIMAL CRACKERS AT TARGET.

Cashier guy: Ok that will be 1.39 Me: Uh can I get a bag too please? Cashier guy: *Gives me a weird look but hands me a small bag* Me: Thank you I think people might look at me funny if they see me walking around the mall with animal crackers you know Cashier guy: What just be like "YEAH I LIKE ANIMAL CRACKERS AND WHAT" Cashier guy (As I'm leaving): DON'T LET THE HATERS BRING YOU DOWN YOU EAT THOSE ANIMAL CRACKERS GIRL!

when i'm in the car and a sad song comes on the radio, i stare out the window and act like i'm in a movie

DO NOT READ THE NEXT

SENTENCE.

You little rebel I like you.

Well...I guess that concludes my profile!

    Rating:
The essential Ying and Yang story! It was enticing and beautiful to read; its mystery pulled me in with every word I read. It read like a Shakespearean sonnet (in the best sort of way), flowing smoothly across the page. And the end...the bitterness and sadness of it all left me aching for more. Wonderful job! Keep Writing!
