'I love you'
Why don't we stop lying
And tell each other
how we really feel,
'I can't stand you,
You frustrate me
To no end,
You drive me to insanity,
But you're family
And I still love you.'
'He's just a friend'
Come on, Flynn,
What did I just tell you?
'I want to say I love him
But I'm afraid of what he'll think,
What they'll all think,
If I confess
That I'm not normal.'
'I'm okay'
Stop lying
To them,
To yourself,
It doesn't help,
'I'm not okay,
I'm saying that
I'll be okay eventually
And that if I survive,
I'll see you tomorrow.'
You want the truth?
I'm a liar,
I write fiction,
What do you expect?
The thing is,
My lying is always
Borne of half truths
And vague stories,
and I'm not sure anymore,
If I'm getting better
Or if I'm just enjoying the pain.
