He pushes his back on the wall
Frightened as he witnesses this
She's screaming
She's fighting
She's flailing
She's frightening...

Her green eyes flicker red from flames
Her voice is trembling in screams
Her body just shivers...
Pure rage exploding—
A teenage girl imploding...

All around him glass begins shattering
All around him the world shakes
He closes his eyes to block this sight
He slams his hands against his ears to
Silence her screams...
To silence his own panicked cries...

She's seeing black
She's blind of what she's doing
He is blind as well
Opening his eyes to find vision blurred
By the heated tears pouring down his face
Warming the icy shudders
That fear has placed on him...

Her world just spins
She can't take it any more
She can't stand the extremes
Of hot and cold—
Flood and drought—
Light and dark...
There is no middle ground
There is no safety...

In untimed unison
The two teenagers scream
Him begging that she quits
Her shattering her voice...

And then his eyes dilate wide
And then her eyes close...
He falls against the wall
She falls to the floor
He's staring in disbelief
She's shuddering in exhaustion...

And then silence.
Again he's too stunned to speak
She's lying unmoving—
What did she do?
He just shudders... He just can't believe...
In her rage, she'd harmed herself
But in the midst of the explosion
Neither she nor him noticed the crimson signs
And now she lays
Her question and request answered
And his heart torn to pieces...

And his own icy explosion erupts from within...
Erupting in his mind violently until he wakes up
In the middle of the night...
Realizing he was dreaming...
Crying at the reality...
Crying...

She's frightening...
