Random Selection
I think it would be nice to have a button to push where it would give you a random story to read. I have seen this feature on one other site and really enjoyed it. I also ended up reading a lot of things I might have passed over based just on the title since the screen opened up to the summary of the story. Especially once there are more stories and writers on this site, I think it would be nice so that readers could just click it and have something completely random pop up. That way if only a few stories are being updated at the moment they don't have to click through title after title under the browse category to find something they like. They could click the random button and if they didn't like what came up, hit it again....so basically it's a lazy way to find something new to read.

I'm all about being lazy :) I think this is a great idea. There are some days that I want to read something but I don't know what I'm looking for or I don't want to search out a good story.

This is a good idea. I think if sub categories get added (which was suggested in another post), the button could be more of a "search," where you can specify what category you're looking for. So, for instance, if a story is listed under Action but has a sub catergory of Romance, then if Romance is specified on the search the story would come up. Or vice versa. (Some stories have a great underlying category even though they are listed under something else.) Or the specifications could be left blank for a completely random story.

Hi everyone. The random feature has been added to the homepage. Every time you load the homepage a random story will be displayed in the 'Random Tale' area.
