  • Well, been there plenty of times. if it's me, I would need a fan to inspire me in continuing my stories  -w- or sometimes it will actually take me a year or two to finish where I left off =_="

  • Happens to me all the time, in fact I have three outlines sitting around, one novella with three chapters written and an intended four more at least, a short story that is about two pages in, another novella that has been on hiatus for over a year, some I jump into as short snippets when the mood hits me, and a continuing series that I set down every so often to work on other things.

In fact I find it helps after writing a few chapters worth of outlines, or a short story outline to let it stew for a while; then with a clear head look at what I wrote and what it brings to mind then; especially on longer works as something new for continuity might come up (especially as much of what I write is part of a connected multiverse).

Better to let it sit for a short while than feel the need to rush it or get sick of it...which has happened with me; usually I will get about 7000 words or so into something before I decide if I want to continue it, if it needs revised, or just to scrap it completly.
